Default Riverside Mini's

We are launching the 2009 Riverside mini's tonight at 6:00. I am going to be flexible on start times, meaning 10 to 15 minutes, until we see how the parking is working out.

Since Riverside is shorter than Dovillio we may decide to move the tee time to 6:15 or even 6:30. But for tonight we will stick with the scheduled start time.

I hope to see a lot of you there, lets test this whole scene out...

By the way, the Hot Dog vendor looks like a good deal, they smell great!!

Don't go to Dovillio, head for the river...

Sounds like fun! What will be the earliest for a flex start?

I know Andrew likes a good weiner but I thought you were more of a taco man?

However, he is a man of principle, i heard he never pays for the weiner...only takes what he can get

edit: looking forward to the mini, or getting stomped at the mini, whatever, good practice for the glide. time to see where I stack up at the river

Got to play another round at the river today and guess what?

The crew has most of the sod down almost to the 7 tee pad.

It looks great!!!!!!!!

Thank you mr. Treat. The course was a blast. While we may have lost some real estate out there, overall the course has a good flow. I like it, easy to play. All I need out there is maybe 4 discs. I didn't shoot that great but I didn't care, thanks for the flex starts, Gota like that. We were out of there by 7:10.

Thanks again Mike.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate your review and support. Based on the amount of land we had to work with, which is less than the old course, I think it worked out pretty well.

The first 3 holes are longer and maybe a little intimidating for new players, but the rest of the course is shorter.

We had 43 palyers for the inauguaral mini at the new course.

Mr. Treat...

someone told me you guys figured i wrote my score down wrong on hole 18 and was stroked? is this correct?

if so, would you mind explaining what happened? If hole 18 is the issue, I got a 2 on that hole.

thanks

Shane Gray. Ties for 1st in Pro with 44 at Chandler 3 weeks ago. A week later at Joyle's mini wins advanced and $24+.

Wins advanced at my mini last week with a 43 which would have WON pro. Now wins advanced at Riverside with a 44.

How can one TD call this guy out and force him to move up when we all allow the bagging to go on? I don't want to have to throw down with this guy but for me to refuse his entry in advanced when nobody else is might lead him to think I'm looking for a dog fight which is sad because anyone that takes a swing at me better kill me the first time around.

Yeah I called him about it earlier. He is swamped at work today but he will reply at some point...

I did go out and look at your card though paul and it appears that the discrepancy was on hole 9 not hole 18.

I wasn't there so that is all I have.

Thanks for the input.

Hole 9 i got a 2.

1 - 3
2 - 3
3 - 3
4 - 3
5 - 2
6 - 2
7 - 3
8 - 2
9 - 2
10 - 2
11 - 2
12 - 2
13 - 2
14 - 3
15 - 3
16 - 3
17 - 2
18 - 2

That makes 44. So I am guessing Patton was the one who instigated the changing of my score? I don't want to jump to any conclusions here, but I know what I shot, I know I wrote 44 down on the card. It would strike me as odd that patton would have complained about my score because we were chatting it up the whole time no problems between us... Patton knows I got a 2 on hole 9 because we started on hole 8 and both he and I didn't miss a birdie until he missed 13 and I missed 14....

HRM!!?! im so confused

im pretty sure the score was right and added right. not to mention... this is a mini, not a PDGA event, I didn't realize TDs still did 2 stroke penalties in minis for mis-added scores. i guess its good practice

Ok, I guess I have a lot of catching up to do.

Furdog, I told Shane Gray last night that he was playing his last mini with me as an advanced player, especially at Riverside. I am tired of it too so i am standing up with you.

Paul, as your card was turned in your fellow players, Patton, said you wrote a 2 down for hole 9, but admitted, no cheating, that you got a 3. I took your score, added 1 for the wrong score and added two for turning in a wrong scorecard.

I didn't even recount your card. It was told to me VERY matter of factly that accidentally the wrong score was written down. I looked for you to clear it up then, you were already gone.

I guess you were in a hurry or thought you didn't cash. let me know if you think I mishandled this. Based on Patton's statements I made the change.

Again, no one accused you of trying to take a 2, they said you openly admitted you got a 3, but, you never changed your card. Maybe you thought they would.

If you did really get a 45, you would have tied Crowl and split $8.00.

I still have the scorecards. Give it some thought and come see me next Tuesday and I will make it right, if it needs fixed...

I appreciate the way you approached it. I can understand how since I wasn't there, I had no say in the matter. I actually thought I wouldn't have cashed with all them birdie hungry sharks in the pro field.

So if you saw my last post mike, i recapped my score for you, hole by hole, it should match what was ORIGINALLY on the scorecard before you guys made changes, as that is what I actually scored.

Also like i previously stated, how could patton think I got a 3 on hole number 9, there was no mistake there, I wasn't even the one who wrote that hole down. We started on hole 8 and I got 6 birdies in a row with no mullies, patton got 5 in a row and used a mully. I remember all my shots clearly. Hole 9 was our second hole, (not to put anyone down here...) patton threw 2 finger and it went short and right of the hole, i threw 2 finger and put it like 8 feet away from the basket, melissa threw and hit the tree on the left, and shana's was in line with the pin but short 30 ft.... i made that putt easily.

If you want I can probably go through and recount most of the shots if there are any other holes in question.

I stand by what was on the card and why I said I got, I know I shot -10, 44 (not 45 like you mentioned above)

I feel like I need to respond, since I was on the card in question. I know Shana doesn't get on this message board and don't know about Patton. Here's what I know. After the round, Dorries took off pretty fast and I sat on my tailgate tending to some personal business. Patton shouted across the parking lot, asking me what Dorries took on 'that last hole', which was 7 (we started on 8). I said 3. Patton (and Shana) agreed, but said Dorries wrote down a 2, so they were changing it. I never looked at the card after I passed it to Shana after the first five holes. I knew I was playing crappy and everyone else was playing great, but I had no idea where everyone stood exactly.

In looking at Dorries' numbers above, it appears to me to be correct. Maybe, just maybe, there was a mistake when Patton was thinking about which hole we started and finished on... I suggest you look at the card and see what's written next to hole 7.

Thanks for pointing out that I nailed that big ***** tree in the middle of the fairway on 9!!! Just kidding...I deserve it! Yes, I remember that hole clearly, and yes Dorries took a 2...

thanks for chiming in melissa, i think you have it correct, patton must have been confused about what hole we ended on. because i did take a 3 on hole 7 and he took a 2 to finish the round.

Ok, here is the final word, please, on this Dorries scoring issue.

Paul, you are correct you did write a 3 on hole 7. James said sorry he was wrong.

I think there was overall confusion becasue I thought Patton and Melissa said hole 9.

When you pass the 1/2 century mark and throw in 168 Dead shows, maybe my hearing isn't what it used to be.

Anyway Patton and I both apologize for the confusion. I am sure you know there was no ill will intended.

Patton said he will be there next Tuesday to "make things right".

Controversy over...
