I might consider letting you get one for $50. If anyone else wants one of the 3 left, then they are $30.

Dude!!!....It's a $4 retail piece of plastic with a 25 cent foil stamp on it. This is what drives newbies away from PDGA tournaments because the mark-up on a disc like this is three or four times the actual cost. On top of that, you're screwing everyone for an extra $10. I'm going to start calling you "Cyber Hutch".

How do you figure that. I had to pay with my partner's pack $725 for the discs. If I sold all 24 for $30 thats only $720, how do you figure I'm screwing anyone?
I kept 6 for my self and sold 18, now take your shoes and socks off and see if you can figure how I made ANY money on these.I din't take them to Ebay to try and get $50 plus for them, I offered them up to the local players that didn't have access to them at just about what they cost me. ![]() You can't even say that! Every TD in town doubles the cost when you pay it out to the Ams.. $8 disc for $16? Who's screwing who here? SOunds like the AMs get screwed at every mini in town.

There must be a conspircy because I can't find Star plastic for $8.
![]() The TDSA sets the prices, not me,.... but as far as that goes, we TD's work for our money. Remember that when you start doing mini's at Craptenial. ![]() Maybe we can pass the hat around for you at the AA meetings held there. Last edited by sschumacher; May 07 2009 at 11:53 AM. |

if you want the best in the sport to compete for REAL money at a REAL event you would support the USDGC thru Champ/Star Roc purchases and these are just like money in the bank collecting interest, those that pay $30 - $50 this year can get $50 - $70 next year or they can make a difference in the future of the sport and donate 1 or more to the EDGE raffle at Alma Greens this year (or any of Joe's fine EDGE raffles)

DUDE..... If this is the best DG has to offer then they should represent it by offering an Inncolor or Supercolor disc instead of just another overpriced hot stamp. I would rather pay $200 for the Steady Ed Memorial set. And since when are people like Twoputt and Opie considered to be "the best in the sport"? Everyone should have to "qualify" which means no coat tail riding tournament "fluffers" allowed. ![]() As for the money in the bank....It sounds like you're the type of guy that has a bunch of unopened Barbies stashed away in a closet somewhere. I imagine you'll be looking for a Government bailout like everyone else soon.

You're out number on this one buddy...........
![]() You can preach what ever you want but these discs also help provide for a tournamnet that has over a $100,000 in it. Did you hear me...? That's $100,000 for a disc golf tournamnet. Its not like they're giving you a .50 cent piece of plastic with the TD's cartoon pic on it and charging you 20 times the cost at $10 and you're still not sure what you get for it. At least with these, you know immediatly what you get.It all started here They sold for $25 and now you can't get one for less than $300. And this particular one they are asking $750! I wouldn't go knocking Evan's Barbie's either....... http://cgi.ebay.com/BARBIE-968-ROMAN...ayphotohosting USDGC ROCS or Baribies, either way they're a better investment than the Tiger Woods 09 you bought or the GTA. And with the Rocs your are helping further the sport. All you help with your video games is some Asian Corporation. At least the Roc money is staying with the disc golfers. |

So are you telling me I can take that $750 disc to a pawn shop and get $600 for it?
If someone steals it will my home insurance pay me $750 for it? Can I go the bank and use it for collateral on a $600 loan? Can I pay medical bills with it? All this is speculation based on the general pyramid scheme that there will always be a buyer in the future. I would rather invest in Evis plates. I'm not knocking the tournament, I'm just knocking the hotstamp. Seems to me if they offered an Inncolor or Supercolor along with the hotstamp they could raise more money but it really doesn't matter because they have become like exclusive concert tickets with select people buying large quantities and then scalping them at a high price on Ebay. And BTW are you blasting my tournament stamp for CS25? There was a limited number of those made also and you got your's for free. The disc cost me $6.50 + 0.65 cents on the tourney mini and I valued the PP at $10. I don't think $3 is that much to ask for having to babysit you for a weekend. You pay much more than that just to board your dogs when you go out of town.

I did recieve an Inncolor. It has a Pic of hole 5, the lake hole with the fountains in the back ground and the title says "David Wise" Official USDGC Partner. They gave me one with my name on it, not a cartoon pic of your sorry arse.
![]() I sold all of mine at cost or $5 over for the rare ones. I didn't rake anyone over the coals on them. I sold all of mine to local players at the same cost it would have been, incuding shipping. Sorry buddy but you can't hammer me on this one. ![]() By the way, just so all of your Ams know, please provide the markup you make on each disc that walks off of your anthill.................... ![]() By the way, when is YOUR bag tag finals? And I was't blasting your tournament stamp, I was blasting your bag tag pyramid scheme. Last edited by twoputtok; May 08 2009 at 10:38 AM. |

Well since you're currently listed as the current or future TDSA TD at Craptenial you should be able to quote what your mark-up will be at Craptenial unless you plan on going outlaw and pay the Am's cash or with all the plastic you won in your Am days.
I don't have a problem paying Am's cash but I've been told not to. I do cash Champion at $14 instead of $16 as noted on the schedule. If you ever stuck around long enough you might notice that. Are you going to go rogue and disconnect your mini's from the TDSA and keep all the money for yourself? ![]() I've got seven months to plan a bag tag tourney and if you don't think owning one (or two in your case) is worth anything than I'll buy yours back. Whatever I do concerning a bag tag tourney will be more than what the last guy did and I'll offer more value at $10 than previous tags sold for $15. Since Craptenial appears to be the course for lifestyles of the rich and famous I'll bet there will never be a DG event there consisting of more than 40 or 50 people unless there is an ace pot over $200 or you tear down the alcohal rules and offer free beer and Hooters girls. Knowing you, you'll probably end up hiring your lawn mower man to run mini's for you.

I plan on opening a course account and taking all of any profit from discs and putting that money into the account to help pay for upgrades and ameneties for the course. I want to see this course maintined, not just thrown in and forgotten. With it being in Owasso, we do have a higher standard, as you put it.
I already have $400 set aside for the course. And you might as well get off the no Alchohol in the park rule. That is becoming more and more of the standard with cities and their park land. I have played in several tournaments where there are no-alchohol rules for the park. Didn't seem to deter the players, as the tournament was sold out. Plus, unlike your course, there won't be empty cans of Steel Reserve around. Maybe a Heiniken but no Steel Reserve or Nattie light cans laying every where. I'll run my own minis and I'll run them on time. ![]() Centennial is going in without any Club funds being used and without having to ask the players to pay for it through fundraisers. Wow, that's different, isn't it? Nor have I aked for voulteers yet, I will need a few people but not much. Once we are ready for this course to go in, it will take approx 2 days.. DID YOU HEAR THAT? 2 days, not a half basket per day over a month long period. And when I do decide to hold an event there, the course will be finished first.

Don't come in here with the "holier than thou" attitude. It doesn't work for me and it won't work for you.
So you negotiated a nice deal with the city of Owasso and got them to fund your baskets, cement, signs, and the labor to put it in. I had a Columbian drug cartel willing to finance the new course at Chandler but they insisted on wanting to put a booth at hole one to sell their product and the county didn't want to be a part of that. The club probably wouldn't have put a new course in at Chandler on it's own because at that time, just like now, the general thinking was to build super courses in swampy area's which unfortunately nowadays seems to be the only land available to us. I believe the club has more of a responsibility to maintain the courses it has while efficiently and responsibly working with the city, county, and it’s members at the same time. Mohawk is great when it's not under water but courses like Chandler and Riverside generate more club funds to allow the club to do more. I believe the club would have supported Owasso if you had asked. You never had a problem asking for money before so I don’t know what your problem is now. Congrats on your initiative and negotiating a nice deal with the city of Owasso. You and the Treats have a skill at negotiating with city officials. I on the other hand hated having to ask for any club funds from the club due to all the crap I have to hear from you and everybody else about the low skill value of “pitch & putts”. But I can tell you right now that a Chandler DG complex would have paid for Craptenial quicker in the long run than Craptenial would have paid for Chandler. I think its a little naïve of you to think that beer cans won’t end up on Craptenial though. Just because it’s Owasso doesn’t mean there’s no litter bugs or dope smokers there. ![]() BTW....Your goat is over at my house.

I can't disagree with you about Riverside and Chandler, those are money generating machines..........for the club and for the TDs and the TDs earn it by having to deal with 40-50 people on any given mini. Owasso will not be any Super course but it will be in line with McClure but with a few more holes with water in play. I'm just happy to have 18 decent holes going in within 2 miles of home. When I feel like slummin or wanting to play some putt putt I may hit up your course.
By the way, you ready for the spring delivery for your yard?
