Another GREAT workday by the N.H.D.C. thanks to Clay, Rudy, Moncropilis, Fig, Rory, Sjur and A-dubbs, for your contributions. the Front 9's fairways are as clean and fair as ever. if there are limbs in the fairway on the front it is becasue they are just to high for me to get to on a extension ladder with a pole saw.
Hole 9's rain ditch at the fairway now has a Sock towell drainage hose installed and has been covered with sand to basically conceal the ditch totally. hole 12's ditch has been cleaned and the retaining wall has been extended all the way to the steps. once again GREAT work to all that showed. i could not be prouder of the work that the club puts in time and time again. you guys are the best!! |

Worday this past Sunday went well. We got the tree on 16 lifted up and tied off to the pine next to it. We also extended the anti debris wall on 5's tee all the way forward. Hopefully that will help keep the sand off of the pad. And a few other small things got done as well. But a good workday for such a hot day. Thanks to everyone who showed up!

I missed any discussions about any proposals for hole 1's damaged sleeve. What are the thoughts about this?

clay has an idea for repairing the sleeve. doesn't have to be perfect, just enough for the pole to easily go in and back out without getting stuck. what about something of higher visibility for the exposed sleeve to possibly avoid this happening again?

Thanks DP. Fig had painted them with bright orange paint at one time but I didn't notice this on Saturday. This would certainly help.
I love this pin position and hated we didn't get to play it Saturday. |

You can purchase a small metal mixing bowl at Walmart or Bed Bath Beyond. A 2 quart bowl is $2.99 and doesn't rust. It is very easy it see, and it will take some abuse. All you do is drill a hole in the top and use a bolt to keep it on, upside down.

I will not be there. Haley has a game at 9 and then another one at 12.
I've been seeing some poison ivy on the course cropping up. I'd like to get some round up and try to head this off b/4 it gets going good. Do we still have some (Round Up) in the shed? |
