Default Re: What bag should I get?

Thanks guys! I came across a great deal on the Innova Tour bag in Wimberley that I just couldn't walk away from. I played my first round with it today, and like it a lot.

The dividers are new for this year and are a great improvement over the old accordion dividers. They are more solidly constructed than the old ones that would turn into floppy pieces of fabric after 6 months. Also, the dividers have a few sections that are slightly wider so now I can fit my JK Aviar, Hydra, and Rocs in the dividers.

Looks great, very comfortable, and I think it could fit aything I need to make it through a couple rounds. Thanks for all your input!

Default Disc Golf Bags

I currently have a Innova bag that holds 20-25 discs and it is wearing in bad. The Phoenix Quad Shocks after a year are tearing, I am having to stitch them back up again. So now I am looking to upgrade and find a bag and straps that is going to last. I dont really play in the rain, though I will occasionally, and really the only weather that my bag sees is sun and wind. Does any one have any good suggestions? I dont want to have to buy new straps and bag every year. Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

I agree...I've heard Gorilla Boy bags are good too, but from what I can tell Revo are the best. I've owned one for 3 years now, I take good care of it, and wash it in the washing machine every once in a while and other than some scuffing on the bottom of the bag it looks like BRAND NEW! I've got quad shocks too and they've held up fine...maybe you got a bad batch of shocks!

Revolution or Gorilla Boy hands down. They both last ages. GB bags are lighter than their Revo counter parts.

I've carried Revo bags for 5 or so years and my buddy has had his since 01. They are amazing. I've switched to a GB Simian for the last 6 months or so and haven't looked back.

You really can't go wrong with either bag.

If you are looking to carry the same amount of discs as you currently are, then i would go with GB or Revo. If you want to spend the money, the word on the course is the new GB Backpack is well worth the $200

My first Gorilla Boy was made when he was still making them by hand. I got it in 2005, it's held up great. I'm sort of partial to GB, but you can't go wrong with a Revolution either. Gateway also makes solid bags.

I was out yesterday at my local disc golf shop. I was looking at the Revolution Carolina Bags...wow are they beautiful...if they weren't over $100 I'd pick one up.

Default Best bag

MYSTERY RANCH!

No offense to other bag manufacturers out there (full disclosure: my bias is apparent in my signature), but there's simply no way to really compete with a Mystery Ranch backpack that is finally available to the masses next month (and its lifetime guarantee). Mystery Ranch was already the most experienced, highest quality backpack making company in the US before it decided to make a disc golf bag out of the goodness of its heart, just so anyone who wanted a completely freak bag could have one. Do you need a disc golf bag that could hack it on Everest, and that is made by the same people who design and supply the packs for the US military special forces? Almost certainly not. Do you WANT one? Yes, of course you do. And did I mention it is guaranteed for life...just send it back in if it starts to wear and it'll be sent back like new in no time. Worn by Matt Orum and other top pros.

I'm pretty sure there's already a hefty waiting list so act fast!

I own a Revolution Dual Pack and couldn't be happier. Like many others have said in this forum... it's hard to wear these out. The very bottom has some scuffs but everything else is like it was when I got it.. except.. not so bleachy white. Because of all the clay ...the inside of my disc flap is more of a slight orange. Think about that when you want to get the bag in white.

Have seen the Simian from Gorilla Boy, that bag is sick, plus you can fit 45-50 discs in there if you wanted... and sit on it too... I want one so bad, but got a Kong that's only a year old with a silverback and spidermonkey as well... awesome bags...

If you want the backpack style bag and have the $$ to spend, gorilla boy simian or revolution dual pack is what you are looking for, or the mystery ranch taj mahal? I'm all Gorilla boy as I have 3 different ones and have a simian coming my way soon.

The Mystery Ranch is the way to go. The Golf Mahal is an amazing bag that cannot be beat. It is produced by quite possibly the best backpack/bag maker in the U.S.

ya the taj mahal is pretty sweet i just like the second pocket on the top in the revolution because i can use it for discs or whatever i feel like like a small cooler of pop food beer whatever yet isnt super wide but if i carried a ton of discs id def go for the taj mahal but i only carry bout 25 at most and $280 is a tad out of my price range for now the revolution is bout as much as i can justify spending
