2012 Azalea Disc Golf Tournament - April 21st and 22nd

with the amount of e-mail i am getting daily and my desire to keep things consistant year to year i have decided to start the discussion about the Azalea Disc Golf Tournament now.

The Dates this year are April 21st and 22nd

we are shooting for Registration to open on Thursday Feb. 9th at around 7:00 p.m. ish

if everything goes as planned on Tuesday Feb. 7th i will post the flyer
then on Thur. Feb. 9th i will have the paypal links set up and ready for registration at approx. 7:00 p.m. ish. I will post here as well as our website www.newhanoverdgc.com and also on our facebook group page.

with the amount of people already inquiring about registration i expect the entry's to come fast and furious just like the last 4 years. So all i can say is hit me up with any questions anybody has and get in while you can.

-set your reminders, make a note on your calendar, write on your hands, sticky notes what ever you gota do to get ready to get ready.

Big Rock. what i would do is log on using the exact link just below this post at exactly 1900 hours and get in the Azalea. we need the rock at the beach!

Alright the information is ready to flow. everyhting you need to know about the Azaela has been updated and can be found at www.newhanoverdgc.com All you have to do is Click on the "Azalea" Tab at the top Left and that will get you to where you need to be. The flyer as well as a link to www.discgolfunited.com will be found there.

I am going to Handle the Waitlist this year so if the tournament fills you are more than welcome to get on the waitlist. With the tournament usually filling so early I always have people who drop out. Last year i think 13 people got in off the waitlist. So to get on the waitlist all you have to do is contact me.

I certainly see what happened yesterday as a problem. And this isn't a problem that anyone involved with the tournament is to blamed for - the only blame that can be placed on the situation is its a fantastic course and a great event ran by great people and this makes an unsualy high amount of people wanting to play the event.

Dave, let's talk this weekend to see what can be done about this event in the future and throw around some ideas.

^this is what i like to hear. i bascially ignore anyhitng not stated in this manner. Thanks for the kind words MTL. It is obvious it is time for more PDGA's at the Castle.....one in Nov. maybe? Maybe a Pro weekend and an Am Weekend? we will see.

OK so I am still sifting through the fall out of the Azalea explosion last night and unfortunately I have to work today so the information right now will be light.

The skinny is this. we had 92 people register in less than 6 minutes. with online processing there is an instance were more than one person can hit submit at the exact same second and this is what happen last night causing us to have 91 people listed on DGU and actually 92 people in the event. So we had to make a decision. If you are listed on the registration list at www.discgolfunited.com you are in the event. If you are were listed on the registration page and you are not listed now you are number 1 and number 2 on the waiting list.
I am hoping to have the waiting list published tonight....but i am playing buckhorn so i have to work, get in a car and drive to Raleigh, then i have to get to Kozak's house and go back to work again getting you guys information.

Your patience with me getting the waitlist published will be most appreciated. It is very long but i will get it up ASAP.
