Default General Post\'s

let's try to get the posting organized. Bag tag's for setting up rounds to play for tag's , Club workday's self explanitory, Club meetings self explanitory and General post's for everything else.Oh yeah I forgot where and when self explanitory, 2008 Azalea Tournament self explanitory.

For those that haven't seen my original post, I'm slightly updating the club's scorecard.

-- Thanks to Dave, I had the alternate back 9 added up wrong. I'll have the card back up later today.

for anyone that did not see it, it looks awesome. Monty you won't believe it but we now have room to actually right someones name as opposed to just their initials.

Default Kure Beach on tha come up

at the request of Mr Bob Fitzsimons (the older gentlemen that initiated contact with us at the parks board meeting we attended last month) i attended the City of Kure Beach's Town council meeting last night. He was asked to give a quick presentation on Disc Golf by the Mayor and the rest of the council. Mr. Firzsimons gave the presentation and i was there to field questions. after a short discussion between bob myself and the mayor and comisssioner the Board voted unanimously to continue with the project. Now we will define the parameters of the area we want to use for the course. Mr. Russle Schwarz has already been in contact with Bob and i am fairly certain he will be the one that comes down and designs the course.

It was great to see the Mayor and the boards excitment about the course. It is my opinion that this thing will be in the ground by christmas if not much much sooner. These guys are on it!!

Default Thanks From The LDGA

Just wanted to say thank you for the strong showing from Wilmington at our Ace Race Saturday. Congrats to Christian on a second place showing in the Ace Race and to Scuba for win in the doubles afterwards. He and Byrdman had a strong round. I am glad that we were able to put this on and for the support that you send our way. I hope to see you all at the Castle!!!

Talking Big Daddy's a daddy

Got the word last night....Christian Carey Coursey (Triple C) born on 9-8-09, coming in at 8.5 lbs. Mom and baby are fine and Christian is tired. No other details yet although I heard that the kid is already shaving and has a mean elevator putt.

Default FC's Last Show

I wanted to let everyone know that Faith Collapsing will be playing our last show ever Halloween night at Lucky's on College Rd. We will be playing first which means we will start at about 10:15. There will be a costume contest and other festivities including drink specials. I hope to see some of you there!
