Mayo Mini Madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The time has come. Mayo Mini Madness begins March 20th. Tee at 6PM. I have decided not to run a set schedule of formats. We will do a little of this and a little of that. There will be at least one handicap mini, and at least one one-disc mini every month. Entry fee will be $5. 3 of those dollars will go to the winner of the mini. $1.50 will go to the pot to be paid to the top 4 finishers in the points race. 50 cents will go to the club. I guarantee $200 dollars in this pot

. You will recieve 10 points for winning the mini, 8 for second, 6 for third, and 4 for fourth. Everyone that plays will recieve 2 points. I will post pot totals and point standings every week on the NWADGA forums. This first week will be a one-disc mini. Hope to see everyone there!

I can't make a 6pm start time. I would have to come straight from work

Jeff Ash has informed me that according to park policy it would be best for me to provide 100% payout for the minis. That being said, 2 dollars of each entry will go into the points pot (not the 1.50 as before). I will donate 10% of all entries (up to 50 dollars) to the club out of my pocket. This should boost the pot at the end even more. Should be some decent cash for the winners.

Will this be every tuesday night at 6 pm? how many weeks will it run until final payout? how bout an ace pot? will it be from short or long tee's?

since Darrell may not be coming, I might try to swing this one so I can take up his slack....I'm just kinda scared that someone may take the most coveted, coolest tag...Uncle Benny

I think I may have answered all of these in your call Evan, but for everyone else and just in case. It will be every Tuesday at 6 PM except meeting nights and special events (maceman dubs). There will be no ace pot (51 is smiled upon though), the money that would usually go into an ace pot is going into the points race pot. I have not fully decided how many will get paid from the final pot, but I can say it will be at least four. I plan on running it until the end of daylight savings time, but if there is a lot of participation and the pot grows quickly i may end it halfway and start a new one. If I do chose to end it early, i will make it known more than a month in advance to give slackers a chance to catch up if they wanna. And yes I will be out there rain or shine. I guess I'll just get a head start in the points on those that are scared of getting wet. I am also thinking about awarding points for those that attend club meetings (wafda and nwadga). This should help boost participation for both clubs. What does everyone think of that? Tomorrow we will be playing from the long tees. Every week though this could change. I will try to have details of what I have planned for each week posted by Sunday night. There will be a few putting minis also. Tags will be live at EVERY mini. See ya tomorrow!
