The Women’s Disc Golf Association continues to grow!
During the initial 6 months, the first 100 members received a free membership, that promotion ended Match 20th, 2006. Membership is a very low $10 for TWO years! Please join us and help this site continue to grow!
All female disc golfers of every level are welcome to this site. It is a great support network for all women with one thing in common…we love disc golf!

We will be having our '1st Annual WDGA Championships'
on October 28th and 29th, 2006, at the Redan course in
Atlanta, GA. This tournament is a Pro/AM PDGA
C-Tier 'Women Only' event.
However, men are requested for many things.
We need sponsors, course helpers and caddies.
Contact me by email or phone if you are interested
in helping. We will post the tournament flyer here
within a couple weeks.

WDGA Custom Hot-Stamp Contest!!!!

Hello PDGA members,

We are having a contest again. We need
a custom hot-stamp design for the discs that
are going into the players' packs for the
tournament. The first 50 registered player
entries will receive a players' pack with one
of these discs inside. So get those artists'
brains going. The winning entry receives
"paid entry" into the October tournament.
Rules are as follows:

1.) Must be original. No use of copyrighted material.
2.) Must have the WDGA Logo on it somewhere.
3.) Must have the tournament title,
"1st Annual WDGA Championships"
and the date of the tournament
"October 28-29, 2006" on it.
4.) Must be of female genre.
5.) Must be family appropriate graphics.
6.) Must be of good clarity.
7.) Must be submitted by August 31st, 2006.

UPDATE TO WDGA CONTEST:
The graphics-design-entry-winner will be used with the
'colormax' technique by Discraft. This means you can use
all the colors you want to use on your entry. The more colorful
the better. We will not be using the 'Hotstamp' technique.
Colormax imaging is centered on the disc. A beautiful
outcome is expected. So keep sending in those entries.
The deadline is August 7th, 2006.

The 2nd Annual WDGA Championships is
scheduled for June 30 - July 1, 2007 at
the Budhill dg course in Memphis, Tennessee.
I was going to do duo-sanctioning at first. I wanted
our 2nd Annual to be a PDGA B-tier. Once I got all
the facts, I realized I could not afford it to be
B-tier sanctioned by the PDGA since I don't
have capitol. The 1st Annual put me in the
hole alitte. I expected so many more to play.
We only had 18 and most of them were from
the South. Having a women only tournament
turns out to be unpredictable.
I had hoped for
atleast 60 WDGA members to play.
So, regrettably, it will be Southern National
sanctioned only this time. Hopefully this
tournament will
be a success and I will have some money
left for next year and can afford a PDGA
B-tier. Sorry. I hope you all will
come anyway. It is going to be held on
a magnificent course in Memphis, Tennessee.
The players packs will be awesome. We will
have good food and fun.
We need to build up the WDGA.
If you can't make it to the tournament,
please think about sponsorship for us.
