I have some newballance as well, but im still all for comfort over grip anyday. i havent worn shoes or socks outside of work for almost a year now . i stick to my birks. the only problem i have with them is the suede footbed gets slippery if i get my foot in the water while crossing the creek.

i saw a great pair of sandals in the other shoe thread that i was gonna buy, but i lost the link. it was some company that specialized in sandals and shoes that could get wet while on the trails. anyone remember?
