Discmania has the MD1 and MD2. The MD1 would be more similar than the MD2. The MD1 is a little more stable than an Ontario Roc. The suggestion to try the Champion Mako is good.

By far, the most important part of any shot is what is happening in the last split second as the disc is pulling itself from your grip. Focus there. It's the key.
