How much money from your "sanctioned event" gets kicked back into your course and since when have any of your "sanctioned" events ever kicked back more cash into your course than one at Chandler and all the "non-members" attending.
Since when have you or your course ever done anything out there without having to ask for monetary support from the club?
The club has always voted where club funds go and considering the money Chandler brings in it is in the best interest of the club to support a second course there.
As for my event and Centennial....... I broke even for the event. But I have donated several hundred dollars to the course. The sod wasn't free, neither were the first tee pads markers. The extra dirt wasn't free. All of the concrete on the baskets wasn't free. All of these expenses and others came from my pocket. Could I have asked club for help? Maybe, but Ithought, how nice would it be to have a course that the club did not contribut one dime towards.
Maybe but at the time I believe you just wanted total control and a way of telling the TDSA to screw off. I also believe there was the promise of some trash cans and benches in there too.
Since they can't get the city of Tulsa to contribute one dime or get credit for the 100K we have put into the Tulsa courses. They won't even replace a stolen basket.
Well I don't believe the TDSA covered anything on the new Riverside layout
You can't even say the members from your event paid for anything. All of their money goes to the Parks Friends slush fund. The concrete was paid by the club. Just what has Park Friends given back to the course or the club?
To date:
1/3 the cost of the baskets, $900
Bricks for the raised baskets # 1 & # 4, $600 and free labor.
Gravel for the new parking lot $?
Free shelter rental for club events and much more to come.
Chandlerstock in general has been bringin in approx $550 in camping fees for the last four years. That's over $2000 from players and supporters of the event. Not a single dollar went to the TDSA yet the TDSA benefits in the end which was the main idea in the first place.
And don't say its the county workers putting in the baskets either, they get a pay check for that.
Yeah they do get a pay check but I believe they do it because they love us and DG and believe it or not most of them are not TDSA members either. I also bribe them with free CS merch as well.
Also, in trade, my course has provided new golfers for all of the other minis around town. They pay their fees, the club gets the money.
You can biatch all you want but the only thing not being a member prohibits me from doing is voting ot getting 2 free hot dogs a year. If you want to campaign for Centennial being removed from the schedule of events or advertisements, go for it. I'll just stop telling them about all the Tulsa events they should be playing and that ChandlerStock is nothing more than a cash cow for the TD and the Park Friends.
Say what you want but you will still be lying.
At any given mini, you can't tell me who is a current member and who isn't.
Maybe but those non-member guys are not backdooring their events onto the TDSA schedule either.
If all the current members are lifers, then what are they doing for the club?
I didn't mean all. Wayne Forest is a lifer. Jerry Stacey is a lifer. Bud Johnson is current at least and so is Jake Rieger a guy you never even see anymore.
