The original San Marino hasn't been made in a long time. The new one was supposed to be made to the same specs so I don't know why it would be blunter. It should say San Marino on the bottom. The Ranchos are made with a blunt nose that can be made blunter, but rarely is.

By far, the most important part of any shot is what is happening in the last split second as the disc is pulling itself from your grip. Focus there. It's the key.
