Default Re: golf

I might as well have. Shank Ob, Shank OB, Putt roll away ob. Missed both Islands- twice double circle 6 and 7. I had one hole on Saturday got a great birdie, Sunday gave me a double circle 7. Some of the worst golf I have ever played. Reminds me of the old 800 days. had a decent final round on Sunday but that was it and only barely decent. Even my infamous 70ft putts just wouldn't go in, they looked good but didn't fall, except by the basket then roll away.
It took everything I had not to leave Little Rock Saturday evening and drive to Dallas to watch my son play soccer but I couldn't leave letting the course kick my arse. It still got me on Sunday but I got in a few punches in on her.

The courses are great, 80ft pine trees, tight lines, good elevation and beautifull but the holes and distance are not near as short as they are listed any where. The tournament staff did an excellent job, the host hotel was great and close to the courses. I have no complaints about this tournament other than my game and the fact that if you have the courses set up for practice on Friday, don't change them and make a new tee pad for Saturday morning.

It didn't start off too good when Wagel was too sick to play the first round. I think he got some bad Ark chicken. He had to withdraw before the players meeting and a volunteer took him back to the hotel. Then that evening, I drove him back west on I-40 to meet heather so she could take him back home.

If they ever have this tournament in Little Rock again, it is a MUST attend event and it WILL fill.

I did get to see DJ whip up on the GM field by about 20 strokes. He was playing very well.

I didn't get to see any in the pro divisions, as they were always on an opposite course.
