dave- i recently got some dx wraiths and teerexs. the plastic is stiff and very grippy. i then ordered online some new mold dx beasts, as i was told they were the same new plastic. the beast plastic is much slicker, and not quite as stiff. they are blue. the wraiths and t.r.s are yellow, white, pink. which is the new dx plastic, or do the colors factor in? thx again
The Wraiths and TeeRex are new plastic. The Beast was probably a combination of old and new plastics. Some discs won't run well in the new plastic, so a mix is used. Usually, the shinier the plastic is, the more of the new stuff is in it. We had to dial back the new stuff in some of the discs, as it shows scuffs from normal handling really badly. It makes some of the new discs look used on the shelf.

By far, the most important part of any shot is what is happening in the last split second as the disc is pulling itself from your grip. Focus there. It's the key.
