The Spring Razorback Classic is planned for Saturday, April 3rd

Cost will be same as usual:

Pro-$35
Advanced-$25
Intermediate-$20
Recreational-$15

First 50 people to register get a custom stamped razorback classic disc.

Everything else will be same as usual.

More specifics will be posted shortly. Last Fall, we were able to get around 50 people out on Old Main Lawn for the razorback Classic. We plan on beating this goal.

Come out and support the U of A collegiate disc golf team.

Are you guys sending a team to collegiates again?

rwblack
Mar 12 2010, 11:28 PM
Yes, the U of A disc golf club will be sending a team to nationals, actually two.

As of right now me, Erik Bailey, and Tyler Owens will be on the A team. Erik says that Mayo will likely fill the fourth spot in the top four. And we will also be fielding another four players (B team) in the first flight division.

PS: Were thinking about changing the Classic to April 10th. I will post an update by next week.

1 round old main
1 round northshore
1 round JB hunt (put up a temp 9)
1 round sportslife/bellavista

BOOM and make it an A tier!!!!

with all the trouble to set up old main and the fact that it's only set-up a couple of times a year - PLAY OLD MAIN both rounds, not to mention eating lunch there and then going to NS would suck :)

my 2 cents

by the way, Northshore had a 2 round Ice Bowl already this year with 20ish players and almost half of them from Tulsa

looking forward to this event :D

Gotta agree with Evan. If I'm gonna haul baskets down for this, they better get 2 rounds played on 'em. Or, we can play 9 holes here at my house and 9 and JB Hunt and then lunch and 18 at Northshore or SportsLife?

Thats fine run both rounds at Old Main everyone loves the course and I couldnt agree more.
But my 2 cents
IS get someone from "NWADGA" if that still exists to run a tourney out at northshore especially if the city is going to be pouring tee-pads in April. What will NWADGA's excuse be after there our tee-pads? :D

This is Corey. Ya i agree you guys never get to play Old Main so make it all Old Main, but there definitely needs to be more Tourneys in NWA. Whats the story on the teepads? Also why isn't this tournament posted on Tulsa's board? Good luck to everyone at this tourney, one of my all time favorites.

NWADGA would LOVE to host a celebratory tournament to christen new concrete tee pads!

So does that mean you are getting concrete teepads?? I hope so it could really improve Northshore, some new signs would help too. Have you thought about adding a back 9, past holes 9 and 10 could be some really nice technical shots back there.

Please post immediately if you can bring baskets out for the Razorback Classic. We need to get an estimate of the # of baskets we have and need. Please post the number you can bring and whether they are metal, dga, or traveler.

PS: The tournament discs came in last Friday and they look pretty legit. The CFR National Championships fundraiser disc has a sick stamp. We have 10 types of CFR discs. Let me know if you would like to have one.

Thanks,
Ryan

Since nobody would notice anyways, I thought I would just let you all know that I will not be there. However I have 2 travelers that I am more than happy to let you use.

I'd notice if you weren't there Buck. I also will not be able to attend or bring baskets down. I'm more than happy to let you use any or all of my baskets if you want or need them. I have a Disccatcher Pro, my Rhino-lined basket, 2 discatcher sports, 1 M-14, a ching and a DGA Lite. I also have 2 more M-14's at Sam Dodd's house that are also available for use.

I'll be happy to help load 'em up if someone wants to come pick them up. I may be (big MAYBE) able to come down and get them afterwards. If not I'll need them brought back up.

Somehow I forgot to post the times for the tournament so here they are:

Registration 8a.m.-9:30a.m.

Players Meeting @ 9:45 a.m.

1st round starts @ 10:00 a.m.

The entry discs have arrived and look pretty sick.

DO NOT PARK IN ELLAS PARKING LOT!! YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED.

Legit Parking areas:
-meters along arkansas, no need to pay meters on weekends
-parking lot across the street from ellas
-parking on dickson
-parking lot across the street from Bell Engineering on Dickson

We are moving the sign-up spot to in front of the graduate building. (Tables will be set up below the signature hole 17 where you tee off the 2nd floor patio of graduate building)

Looks like the weather will be amazing- 72, mostly sunny, no rain

See you guys there.

So, can I assume you guys have enough baskets for this without mine? I offered them, and am still good to get them to you, but need some advance warning, as I may now be out of town Saturday morning.

No club meetings, no dues paying members, no forseeable income,a promise to hold a tournament at Northshore when the teepads get done, a quickly dwindling bank account after paying the city of Springdale $100 and sponsoring 4 icebowls this year alone, and now we've been asked to sponsor lunch for the Razorback Classic, I just don't see how we can as much as I'd like to. I need input from Heath ,LARRY, and Kelly before a final decision is made.
I passed the exam and desire to TD the Northshore Invitational this year.621-3445

Thanks for the offer, but I think we have all 18 baskets covered. We will not need yours.

The U of A disc golf club really appreciates all the effort and time that our fellow NWA disc golfers contribute.

The team is looking solid, and were hoping to make another serious run for 1st place at the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships.
