Vienna Park Pro/Am Doubles is BYOP Doubles - the Max team rating is 1850. If you're a 1000 rated player, your best possible partner is 850 rated. If you're 970 rated your best possible is 880. And so on. Its possible a team of two 925 golfers could win the event. Teams should be fairly evenly matched. It should be a good time. Entry fee is $30 per team, and reg is 11:00 to 11:45 with a noon tee off.
As of right now it will be two rounds of 18 - one short, one long - but it is possible that it could be two rounds of 21 if Vienna's new addition is completed by the date of the event.
note: Yes, I know pro-am may not be the *best* way to describe it, but its easier than saying Vienna Park Max 1850 Rated Team Doubles.

How would you possibly get in two rounds of 21 before dark starting at noon?

Vienna isn't a terribly long course. Our dubs, playing 18 holes, usually takes barely over 2 hours to play. It's a local event, not a PDGA event so we won't be going with the whole hour break requirement - 30-40 minutes tops and then back out on the course. 2nd round will tee around 3-3:15.
I don't anticipate this filling. It won't be some huge event. Just some fun.

It sounds doable if you don't have any sixsomes.
My teammate and I both went up with today's ratings update. We're now over the cap. We won't bag.

Team gets cemented in pre-update then I won't make you break it up if the ratings shift slightly above the 1850 barrier.

Things here are quiet right about now.
We've got 7 teams listed on the DGScene page!
Team 87 - Ron Gravelle (953) & Paul Hawk (831)
A pair of Vienna Park veterans, the "Old School" locals looking to keep the cash in-house. Their team name is their combined age, which puts them at.... pretty **** old!
Team G-Mafia - Noah Trimmer (934) & Jeremy Horton (883)
A pair of Goldenrod locals coming down to try to take on Vienna Park. With Noah's recent 2nd round efforts he's showing that he's more than an Intermediate golfer. It'd be a shocker but they could make some noise.
Team Jackhyzer - Chris Wojciechowski (981) & Nick Gray (861)
Nick Gray coming off of his first cash in Intermediate is going to have to carry this team as I spend the entire week doing nothing but cutting down trees and clearing woods to try to get the new holes ready just in time for the event.
Team Lachime - Dave Nelson (926) & Alex Gilson (916)
Team Lachime has it all - a consistent putting big forehand (Pastor Dave) and a big backhand streaky putter (The new Al-G). They have the shots to birdie any hole on the course, longs or shorts - but can they bring the consistency?
Team PIKA PIKA! - RJ Snider (xxx) & Jon Rice (885)
RJ Snider is a non-member, but likely a 900 level golfer. Jon Rice likes to be touched gently as you make love to him. Together.... well, I can guarantee the entertainment level is slightly higher by their presence.
Team Scatzer - Nate Detzer (951) & Scott "Scat" Shaw (888)
Nate Detzer is **** consistent with an accurate putt, and when Scat is on he's got a righty forehand & backhand, and a lefty backhand. If he's hitting the fairways he's going to provide Nate with all the support needed to play in the lead all day.
Team UDGS - Austin Bomar (xxx) & Brandon Wilbarger (xxx)
A pair of Toledo locals that have a lot of experience golfing with each other. They're new and lack ratings, and to call them underdogs is an understatement, but they know the course and have complementary games. A cash may be tough but it is possible.
These aren't all the teams that we'll see! Interest not only from the Brakels, but also from a variety of locals, here are a few potential teams: Dave O'Shea & David Stoll snuck in with expressed interest days ago when their ratings were only a combined 1849 (!!!). If they play they'd be the only team "grandfathered" in with a combined rating sneaking in at 1853. Ryan Toth (945) and Chris Hadeed (Toledo local - 900 level) would also make a formidable team, especially if Hadeed's streaky putting game is hot.
Chance of rain is trending downward (down to 30%)! Cashless prereg with me so that I can be prepared, and make a pointless preview post again! Can anyone tell I'm really **** bored?

Gotcha. If its close I'm alright with grandfathering (see: Stoll/O'Shea who went from 1849 to 1853 - with a difference so negligible I'm willing to let it slide since they expressed pre-update interest). If not I'd still love to see you guys come on down, it's going to be fun.

Bruce...937 -> 942
Kelsey..916 -> 919
Wow, we were never under the cap!
I thought Kelsey was 911 when she was 916.

Got any ideas for partners, or going to sit it out as a result?

I'm going to attend the Hillsdale Parents Weekend as the result. Playing a tournament with Kelsey was my only out.
