Now that I have your attention, the Modesto Area Disc Golfers are hosting the Ace Race on October 10th with sign ups at 9am and Tee offs at 10am at East La Loma Park on the "front nine" by the tennis courts. Since we will be hosting the finals at Fiddleneck at New Hogan Dam, we would like to change our usual late in the series scheduled event in Stockton. If we could swap with Taft or have our tourney in early December, we would appreciate that.

Now back to the ace race.

It looks like we will be playing the back eighteen holes for Modesto's Fall Classic. We will have tournament central on Scenic Drive like we did two years ago. A slightly different layout of holes that will flow better and allow quicker play.

It is so easy to pre-register for the Modesto Fall Classic this year. I have eliminated all the options so golfers won't have to waste time deciding which they want to pre-reg. Y'know how it is for some guys:
"I'll wait til I see 'im at the course",
"I've got twenty dollars I can give you right now",
"I'm gonna call 'im and have 'im put me and Arno on the list",
"Sorry man, all I have is quarters, is that alright?",
"Hey I gave my money to Reese, am I in?",
"Put me on the waiting list, I'm not sure if I can play that day",
etc.
etc.
etc.
Now it's so simple even a caveman can do it, get a check or money order, get an envelope, get a stamp, write your name, your division on a piece of paper and put them all together, address the envelope and give it to the postal service. Voila! Done! Simple, easy and fun too!

Thanks to all the golfers who sent in their money for pre-reg. Mike was swamped with more entries on Friday than there were spots left in the tourney. We are increasing the field to 105 players and there is a waiting list comprised of entries that were received Sat. I expect the waiting list will grow after Mike gets mail on Mon. So there is a waiting list and the tournament is full and don't send money now; it's too late. Calling isn't going help either.

I heard from John 'Newbie' Newton that the Best Western at 909 16th St. in downtown Modesto will give a discount to anyone that says they are here to play the CVS Tournament. The phone number is 209-524-7261.

Sunday we made it to Montanna,monday Saltlake'tuesday Reno we could make it back on tuesday but I think we're going to hang out in Reno and win some MONEY,or we'll drive through and be back tuesday we;ll see how it goes.Golf on thrusday and friday see ya when we get there
