Hey folks,

A friend of mine in Howell is on the city council and they've recently struck up an agreement with the land owner of a former golf course to potentially use the land for a 4 or 5 years as a park. The city council is considering different recreational uses for the land and one of the possibilities is a disc golf course.

The city council knows next to nothing about disc golf other than it's relatively popular in the area, not all the expensive to implement and that the closest courses are in Dexter and Milford.

Can anyone recommend a contact in the area who could help educate the council about the advantages of putting in a disc golf course, helping with the logistics if the course is approved, etc?

Please include an email address and/or phone number of someone I can put my friend in contact with.

Thanks very much,
Matt

This is what our club does, we help with disc golf courses.
Finding, funding, implementation.
We are currently working on 4 potential new courses in Washtenaw County.
Have almost finished the first Lakeshore course in Ypsilanti.
Financially backed with $1200 the new Independence Lake course in Whitmore Lake, still being worked on.

We are out currently very cash poor but we have staff who could be brought to bear to make this happen.
