Sad, very sad. Well, once again, in my travels, I was checking out a few towns and parks. I took a look at Jaycee Park in SW Artesia. It would be a very good park for a quality nine hole course. I then went ahead and checked out MLK Jr. Park. I was again taking a few pictures and noted that it really would not offer much as it has a baseball field, a large brand new playground and recreation area, and only a few usable trees (many by roads, etc). Well, snap a picture, look again....baskets in ground in a very small area, no trees, etc. The sign says 'circles' for teepads, trapezoids for baskets. It also indicated a two-meter rule and that putting was within 3 meters.....sob, sob, sob. Oh well.
