The Free as a Breeze free disc golf tournament will be held Saturday June 27th at Mastin Lake and Brahan Spring.

For obvious reasons this will be a trophy only event.

Late registration 0800-0900 at Mastin Lake Park.

0915 - Player's meeting
0930 - start

Round 2 at Brahan Spring Park one hour after the last card is in.

The field is limited to 72 players and you can preregister by posting your intent to attend here (Full name please). Please do not sign up if you are not serious about coming.

My intent with this tournament is to get some recreational players exposed to tournament golf and try out the trophy only format to see what response I get from players. There will be a small player pack and tee sponsorships at $10 each are welcome. Please specify hole and course if you want a specific hole. Sponsorship $$ will go toward SN fees, player packs and trophies.

There will be the usual divisions as long as I have 3 or more players to fill one and there will be a SUPER CLASS division as well. You youngsters can laugh at the scores we rack up throwing our old school lids around the courses.

I'm excited about giving this a try. The PDGA did not accept my Competition Endowment Program application because Huntsville is not new disc golf territory so it will just be SN sanctioned. I would like to see that policy revisited by the board for trophy only tournaments as I think it could be a real win win situation for both the plauers and the PDGA.
