Sunday May 3rd at noon, the newest 24 hole course in Washtenaw County will hold its grand opening.
This course was funded by A3 and the property owner,
The Course will be called the Ponds at Lakeshore, built on private property located on the East side of Ypsilanti at the Lakeshore Apartment complex.
2117 Lakeview Dr., Ypsilanti, MI.
A3 has paid for the baskets and associated hardware, while the property owner paid for the concrete and labor to install everything.
William Gilbert approached the property owner about the course and easily passed the idea through. Terry, Ben Sheila Calhoun as well as input from other play testers designed the course.
We should have pictures and newspaper coverage from the Ann Arbor News. People will be able to play the course. Hopefully the tees signs will be at least temporarily painted with information. permanent signage is in the works.
Prizes to be given away.
We are really hoping for the largest turnout we can get. The property is free to enter, but you must go through the security station and show id to go to the course!!
Dogs on Leashes are welcome, if you clean up after them.
Beer & Wind should be allowed but not at the opening.
Trash cans will probably not be on the course in time for the grand opening.
Please come on out, bring all your friends spread the word. You never know you might get your picture in the paper!?!?
See you there.
