For those of you who have not played West Guth in a while, I encourage you to come out and check out some of the changes going on. There are new tee boxes being added. 5 white, 6 white (with a clown's mouth mando), 7 white, and 10 white. We are working to improve our course as best we can, and I can confidently say that the additions should be well received.

white? new positions all together, or just changed the colors?

No, they are new positions all together. There will be red, white and blue tees available on some of the holes. Unfortunaltely there probably are not enough options to have 3 tee placements on every hole, but we'll do what we can.

Played Guth yesterday. Wow that is crazy that they dumped all that concrete or whatever it is in all the ditches. You guys need to do something about those hazards you call tee-boxes!!! Almost broke my foot 3 times.....

Perhaps you are just spoiled by concrete pads. There is not one dangerous tee at Guth. Besides, you do have to exercise caution when playing from natural turf tees.

I do not understand how even you Mike could be so stupid as to misinterpret what was posted. I simply clarified that we was Chris and me. By the way Chris has done way more work than me lately on the course.

Just thought it was kinda typical lance, to use 3C affiliate board to not only speak of OC, but you wont even join 3C, just kinda messed up....gotta get in there somewhere... just get a rib or two removed, should be set...

Third Coast Affiliate thread?? Oh yeah, I took care of that for you in January. No Mike I won't join Third Coast as long as you are involved. I do however hope that the current members realize that you are actually detrimental to the club. I also hope Ken R. is doing a good job tracking your finances. I know Chris and Jackie both tried. I will continue to do what I do at West Guth which is work to improve the course and meet new players. I will also point them towards learning from more skilled players inspite of the fact that they will have to encounter you and your ways of conducting business. People with character can easily figure it out.

case and point- you are only looking for credit...This was the only reason people didnt want to bring our club thread back, cause it gives you a stage to perform on. You are such a drama queen...You didnt get voted onto the board by the members of the club and you decide to blame it on me? You are nothing but a problem starter. I sure wish I could have posted the pm you sent me, everyone would see what a self centered person you really are... You can think whatever you want regarding me and finances. I am square with everyone... When you sent in the money for affiliate club renewal you were acting as the club treasurer, so what...just you wanting credit again...

not asking you to join, thats why the by laws were produced to protect the club from its members that were not acting in the best interest of the club...

Never said a word about it.

All it was was the way I see you don't see how that is self centered.

I just know the club didn't make much money from the events since Erron left town.
When you sent in the money for affiliate club renewal you were acting as the club treasurer, so what...just you wanting credit again...
Don't give folks credit where it is due and I promise you will see less participation. Human nature. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Nice job Chris. 8 white is tough. City screwed up 10 white with the excessive tree trimming. Might want to start considering something new for 12. That mesquite is broken off at the bottom hopefully the city won't notice and will leave it for awhile. Maybe move the basket further up and to the right. Let me know when you are out and I will try to come out. I have some ideas my "clique" think are cool. ;)

Chris,
FYI I ahve heared some very positive comments from folks that have played the white tees.
1. "eight is hard."
2. "six is hard"
3. " nice new tees."
Rey Galardo and I played the blue twelve I showed you. And he stretched it out to around 385' with a left mandatory. We played a shot from between there and the picnic area back to where twelve is. Instead of losing a hole I think we can gain one maybe even two. Flow is great I measured everything. Call me when you get a chance to play.

Hey Chris and Lance, love the white T-boxes. I played the other day from locals, and all the holes that had whtie. I shot a 10 over, in ugly wind. Not bad for an int. girl. Whites make it more challanging, Im always up for the challange. Thanks again guys.

I'm pleased that it looks like we are going to use the white tees for the upcoming tournament. It will be interesting to see what type of reviews they get from out of towners, and to see wh at type of difference it may/may not make on scoring between the two rounds.

The problem is the location of three. The kids from Tuloso Midway Middle school are always pulling up the posts.

Next time I'll bury it with spikes through the bottom. That ought to keep them at bay, at least for longer this time.

Hans and I reposted 3 white Sunday. We also put in 15 longer than blue. Gold or white? Not sure. Hans also painted all reds. Billy and Rick painted whites.

By the way C4 we used the post you hid on 10red for the new posts. We did try to use some sticks as spikes since the post was predrilled to prevent them from being pulled up.
A thursday round or two could be in the works for me. Takers?

Thursday is a no go for me, but you might want to consider Friday doubles as a cost-efficient alternative.
