We need sponsors. As the leader of Mordor sent his orcs and goblins to Helm's Deep, I, as your fearless leader, send thee Windjammers out to find sponsors for our Frying Pan.
Anyone you find to sponsor us will be amazing. Water, food, music, anything would be cool. Beer, snacks, appliances, or any other perishable items would be excellent. I guarantee one sweet kegger sponsored by the Windjammers after the first 2 rounds.
Let's kick in the door on this one, boys!

The Delta Windjammers are happy and thankful for our first sponsor.
Thank you, Ray Birch and Birch's Refinishing for their generous donation to the Frying Pan.
So, for all of your Porcelain and Fiberglass Tub, Shower, and Sink refinishing needs, give Ray a call. They also do Formica and Tile counter tops.

I would like to take the time to thank all of the players for attending this year's version of the Frying Pan.
It started out with me being locked out of the park on Saturday morning when I was there to get things set up. I was steamed! Then the tables we needed were taken by other park-goers which led to a major cluster@#$% especially during the 2nd round. There were at least 150 people located on and near 2 of the temp holes and I had to spot (along with Johnny Blue) all day. More than once we had to knock down a drive that was going to kill a bystander. I would have to say that it was my worst day ever being involved in this sport. We had to throw out a hole because a jump house was set up during the round on the edge of the fairway.
Sunday we had the proper tables and there was hardly any other park-goers.
Highlights:
Josh Sappenfield 2's the par 4 6th with a two hundred foot roc shot.
Aces by D-Balls and Roger Cansler on hole #5.
Pro GM Doug Werner shooting lights out and tying for the best total with Josh Anthon.
Wally's party.
We had kegs of Sierra Nevada at the end of both days.
I think that most of the players enjoyed the layout with the 3 par 4's and island greens.
This tourney was my swan song. I may run another tourney here and there, but it won't be one that requires pdga sanctioning or an electronic report.
BTW: Thank you Steve Ganz for helping with the elec. report.
more later...

If you just joined the pDGA and are looking for your ratings, I didn't turn in the electronic report yet, so you don't have an official rating yet. If you want to know what your rating should be, just add your three rated rounds together and divide by 3. Voila!!
