Disc Golf U, the online scoring and handicap service was one of our Ice Bowl sponsors. They're great about supporting the Ice Bowl.
I've been trying to come up with a way to put their service to work locally, and I think I have an idea. I'm calling it the "Virtual Monthly". Basically, you would have the whole month to get together with one or two other Disc Golf U league players out at Barnet for 2 rounds. Turn in your score, and along with everyone else in the Virtual Monthly league at Barnet, we get the final results. This would keep it flexible, and wouldn't require yet another date when everyone could get together. As long as we all get our rounds in during the month, we would have a virtual tournament.
If you're interested, please contact me. We'll get it rolling if there's enough interest.
And please note, if you renew your PDGA membership, or sign up, you'll get a year's membership in Disc Golf U, too. If you don't want to sign up for PDGA, (the Kinston club offers KDG members a $5.00 discount for new PDGA memberships and renewals, but that's another thread,) you can still sign up for Disc Golf U.
