Greetings!
We welcome all of you to Kansas City for the 2009 PDGA Disc Golf World Championships. The tournament staff, Jack Lowe, myself, or Rick Rothstein will posting information here from time to time. We've decided to make this thread an announcement only thread for three reasons:
1. It will be much easier to find official Worlds information here in one place, uncluttered by other posts.
2. This thread will have no misinformation in it. Often well-meaning folks will post things in tournament threads, and the info is bad. We will avoid that this way.
3. Any good information often gets buried with a lot of other chatter. This way, you can always find the scoop here.
We will be monitoring other Worlds threads that are posted elsewhere on the DISCussion Board. We will rarely, if ever, post in those threads, leaving y'all to discuss freely. If we feel there is an important question to answer, we'll answer it here, or at the official 2009 Worlds Website (http://kcworlds.com). That website is still a bit under construction, but the preliminary schedule and host hotel information is already posted there. Note that the schedule is subject to change, and in fact, the schedule is going to change slightly in the next few days. We'll let people know here and at the website when the schedule has changed.
We know the Worlds in Kansas City will be a good tournament on great courses, but mostly we want everyone to have a fun experience here. While we won't be posting on other discussion threads much, we always answer our emails and phone calls. If you have questions about Worlds, feel free to contact us at the below numbers or email addresses.
