Well since ACDC is not running Monthly Mini's we have changed the name to "It's Your Money Mini's where all enrty fee's collected will be paid out. So come enjoy the mini that was made just for you 17 Jan is Our next Mini we have Disc Golfers coming from out of town this Saturdat so it should be a Great Mini.

Dont Forget 50 cent from each disc sold by ACDC will be going towards the Ace Pot. :o:D

Did you tell that to Austin's clubs,Dallas Clubs and Houston clubs? Like I said before Our Memember wanted Saturday's as their mini days and they wanted it after 10:00am so that is want I did.

So when we get more course here in San Antonio which 3 are in the plans they wont be able to run a mini on Saturday because you say so, I dont think so just worry about your club and we will do the same. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif :D

Why do you think we did not run our minis on Sunday Mornings? :confused: Because we know LODGA runs theirs on those days. We did that out of respect for the other club. You do these things on purpose. :mad:

My point is that you chose Saturday Mornings because you know San Antonio Disc Club runs minis on that day and time. You created this (acdc) "club" out of spite and just to help LODGA as an "affiliate". If you really love LODGA you should step up and take on one of their Officer/Committee Positions not start a whole other "club" in a city that already has one. You should really be asking yourself "What is my (Dave's) problem?" :confused: :confused:

That is and will never be the goal of SADC. SADC works well with other clubs and their track record proves that.

I'm not really sure what that statement means. How close you like to the course has no bearing on anything. The fact is that the majority of local (SA Area) disc golfers don't live 1 to 3 miles from the course. Your mini targets all local golfers, not just the extremely small amount that live greater than 1 mile but less than 3 miles from the course, and it can pull them away from other minis. I'd guess you'd probably get better and more consistent participation if the mini wasn't being run up against another mini in the same local area. Really the distance between the courses is irrelevant. What should be the primary consideration, in my opinion, is the player pool the course draws from. Pearsall and McClain draw from an almost identical player pool. Of course Pearsall is likely to get more golfers from the west side, the south side, and the hill country; McClain is likely to draw more golfers from the east side, the north side, and San Marcos/Austin. That said, for the most part they draw from they are a similar player pool. What I’d like to see is a situation where minis are being run in the SA area, not on the same day, but on different days and different times. I know as a player I’d like to have the option of having an event to attend on many different days so I can pick and choose which days I want to play. I’d also like a situation where the various local area clubs work together to set a schedule that works for all local players and all local clubs. I’m willing to participate in that type of situation. What I’m not willing to do is stand by and let the lone leader of ACDC try to politicize disc golf and force people to try and choose us or them.

Of course, however as stated above the mini doesn't draw from 1-3 miles from the course, it draws from a larger audience of disc golfers. I want the clubs I'm a member of to collaborate with other clubs to promote the best possible local scene, not to setup a schedule that forces players to choose one mini over another when there isn’t a need for it.

not that i really want to be involved, but if your "carry-over" ace pot is at $11, how many players does that give you? especially if you add $.50 for every disc sold?

i don't go to many minis, but the last one I went to at mcclain had around 25 players.

If you just go back to the last year and do the math it average just about 12 players per mini. I have held two mini with 11 players at each.
