ATTN WOMEN: At this event, you'll receive 2 bag tags... one standard Funkytown tag and a separate women's tag. This is at no extra cost to you! This will allow us to have separate female bag tag challenges throughout the year. Come on out and support Funkytown on January 1st!

Yes - if anyone would like to do it on paper we can mail the forms in. Or if anyone wants to do it online, just click on the affiliate club program and then fill out the online renewal form then choose funkytown flyers club and get 5$ off.
Thanks.

As far as making the Hangover Classic a SN Qualifier, we've decided not to go that route this year. We want to keep things as simple and casual as possible! We might consider this next year, however, for the 3rd Annual... We'll just need to start planning further in advance to do so.

I made the announcement this morning at the Vet to remind everyone. There seemed to be a good deal of interest in attending. I hope the Arlington regs show in a big way. We need to support our Tarrant bros in their efforts. Can't wait to see the new course.

Thanks Skip! We look forward to seeing you there.
Everyone, due to extenuating circumstances involving the City of Fort Worth, we will need to supply our own baskets for the Hangover Classic. We plan to pull 8 baskets from North Park and we have 2 more portables promised to help us out.
We need at least 8 more baskets to make the Hangover classic happen. Can anyone offer their basket up for one day to help us out? Please call me at 817-845-8459. We would need your basket by Wednesday evening. and you would get it back after the tournament on Thursday.
Thanks!

That would be great Eric. Here is the list of baskets we are expecting now:
8 discatchers from north park
1 stroke saver from colin Evans
1 Mach lite from eric teddy
1 Mach ii new from stephanie
1 chainstar from michael
1 unknown from shaun hunter
1 db5 from steve sanders
1 discatcher from john mairuo
2 unknown from josh dann
That gives us one extra to work with. If anyone is not on the list and can bring a basket, still bring it just in case please! Thanks.

Michael,
Who is in charge of getting the baskets from North Park to Gateway, and let me know if you need my truck to help. I have to work Wednesday so it'll be later. I also have two Mach III baskets if you end up needing them.

Yep! The holes that need the most work are:
#2, #11, #13, and #14
Course work won't be allowed during play though. If anybody would like to work on the course it's best to do so on Tuesday or Wednesday. The bulk of the work will be cutting briars and raking them to the side and moving branches out of the way.

I semi-played the course yesterday and I have to say, It's definitely going to be one of the premier courses in DFW. The only problem that I saw was on 14th...I think that the basket is too close to the dropoff. There is a 60-70 foot straight dropoff, into the river, about 15-20 feet to the right of the basket. To me it looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen...all you need is a drunken casual.
The other thing that I noticed, and I don't have anything againest Cox III and Dave's life style..but I did notice alot of guys cruising around the park. My Gaydar was going off like crazy!! We might have to change the park's name from Gateway to Gayway! :D

Calling all funky ones! Gilbert myself Troy and Dalton are going to be picking trash up and playing a round afterwards if anyone is interested in helping it would be appreciated and it would be a good thing for members to get behind other members and show the city what we as organized disc golfers can do for a community and the park itself! I myself have not been able to help but a few hours and want to show Brandon and crew that Funky Town is made of other likeminded people that want to better there community! I am proud to be a member of such a great group of golfers! Thanks to all that have made it possible for me to enjoy area DFW courses! So in closing I hope anyone that can find the time to pick a little trash up and then enjoy a round! Think we are starting at 7 am and working till 10 then playing a round.

This is what happens when we all get together, thanks to those who worked on the course to get it ready, thanks to those who organized the Hangover, and a special thanks to everyone who showed up and showed your support to some fine and funky individuals.

It was a lot of fun with a whole lot of people. Great turnout and show of support for the Funkiest of Flyers.
One thing I wanted to serve up....that circle in front of the pavillion is crying out for an Ace in the Oaks/ Ace Race. That's about the nicest spot I've ever seen for a blow out party with the keg and everything. :D
