Registrations keep rolling in, we're off to a good start this year. I truly do look forward to seeing all the appelton area crews come out for this event.

Side Note...
I've been think of a 2-day B-tier next year for the Winter Park Open (like Standing Rocks). The course in 2009 will have 3 distinct layouts. Rd 1 on saturday would be the classic 18 hole course for a warmup. Rd 2 sat afternoon would be a test of skill on the new 27 hole course. Rd 3 on Sunday would be one last chance for redemption on the alternate pin layout of the 18 hole course. There is a strong possibility we could arrange camping right at the park, thus all your needs would be in one place. What would you think of that?

I think one round of 27 holes might be a bit much for some folks, but I like where you're going with this.

At SRO the Pros play 21-24 holes for the second round depending on the layout, and ADV plays that many on the first and third rounds.

If you want to play, you'd better send your money this weekend! Or you'll run the risk of losing out to first come, first serve day of the event plus late fee. So far 23 players committed, and I anticipate ordering 50 packs unless I get more registrations by October 1st.

Ensure your chance to play in this super fun event, and help support a great new expansion of the course.

50 packs ordered, 17 pre-paid, 14 more committed. It appears to be plenty spots open yet for those who want to play. But you'll only have a spot held if you send in your registration. Don't delay, reserve your spot! Tell friends, tell others, tell strangers, and bring them all up with you for a guaranteed fun time.

I will order more packs if necessary if I get more than 50 pre-paid players by Oct 11th.

Winter Park is a great course and it is clear how much work you put into it!
This will be on my MUST-ATTEND LIST every year.

Thank you Klem, we're glad you finally made it and that you had fun and we made a believer out of you!

DANG THAT WAS FUN!

57 players for the Ace Race. Shaun Chaudoir won the race with two metals. 32 stuck around for doubles on the debut of the winter pin placements. Andy Gasiorowski and Jill Pickett won doubles with a 49.

We'd like to thank everyone for their support and graciousness as donations were plentiful. The format of the rounds and the weather of the day couldn't have been better. Look for the same Ace Race/Lunch/Doubles format again next year for sure! Our only goal is for everyone to have fun! THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ATTENDED!
