It's that time again :)

Our club has been a supporter of this event for the past few years and I have personally supported it since the second year I played (2003, I think?). This year TitleDISC is going to be helping make it all happen and Deidre and I are donating all the time and effort it will take to make sure Bryan doesn't get as stressed as usual :).

Will the club step up again this year and be a teeshirt / teesign sponsor? Every little bit helps make this tournament the best, highest-paying little B-Tier in Texas :). Who will coordinate the effort to gather sponsorship money from other members? Who will help out during the tournament? Even better - who all will be playing this year?

Registration is open at TitleDISC.com. Get signed up today!

IS it true there was talk about there possibly being a round backwards?

I was hoping to introduce that into discussions about course design for this year... but I think Pineapple is taking care of all of that stuff himself. Maybe we can work it in for next year.

To do something like that, you need maps and the course marked. I do not have time like that this year.

In the future, who knows. :D

we already have maps and the course has been marked for months... Parker even recently re-marked it. plus many of us have ideas on how to fit in the other 21 baskets... I told you some folks in our club have been putting in some hours out there :)

you beat me to it and with a little more tact

17 alternates are marked out there...some still need tweaking, but our first bricks and Parkers follow-up with new markers are great

I don't think this year either...unless the "new" course doesn't work..I would love to see some input from the golfers before we showed up since we are close to playing holes that have been done year before

MJCO will roll no matter and when you get that reg up...I will reg

No caddy this year.:)

will playing greenbelt and a temp course be worth it? the other course has always been the fun one, no? of course there is always the beer drinking with the likes of you guys, that could draw me in

the enormous payouts, awesome TDs (and co-TDs!), plus comraderie with your buddies arent enough? How about playing some Carrollton holes that haven't been played in years and may never be played again? Or on the flip-side, how 'bout helping to convince yet another city that Disc Golf is a good use of otherwise empty parkland? :p

you asked if playing Greenbelt and a temp course would be worth it... I'm giving you other reasons why the tournament will be awesome in spite of Porter being under construction

Sorry, due to city ordinances and PDGA rules, there will be no Open containers of alcohol allowed at the park that weekend. (or any weekend for that matter)

To continue to be able to hold the tournament and have our disc golf course, these rules must be followed.

Actually, I think this will be a fun year. I expect around 150-175 players (if the weather is good) and a smoothly run tournament with Josh as my asst TD.

I should add that there are many bars and restaurants in Carrollton that do allow beer drinking and have very reasonable prices :)

Is there anyone from the club that will be available to help with the beginning of doubles on Friday, Sep 12th? Something like 3:00pm until 5:00pm. It should just involve taking money, writing down names, and handing out scorecards. I will definitely be there by 5:00, I'm just not 100% sure my flight will get me back in time to be there right at 3:00pm, although I'm trying. I need a safety net, just in case. I'd prefer that safety net be someone from our club, or someone from our "extended DG family"

it is 3pm. my flight is *supposed* to land at about 1:20pm but who knows what will happen. If you can be there at 3:00 to start taking money then I'll either see you there then or just after. I'm coming straight from the airport to the course.
