2008 TX Teams??

I know this is probably a bit too early to be thinking about for most, but I'm just throwing this out there for my own sake :D

I REALLY want to play TX Teams this year, but nobody here in Texarkana has any interest in tournaments that arent one-day events within a 2hr drive...and we don't have enough players to form even an emerging team.

If anyone is thinking of forming a team and needs an extra person, hit me up! I have excellent interpersonal skills, am proficient in Innova, Millennium, and some Discraft, and I putt 20dpm (that's discs-per-minute). I have a strong desire to excel in disc golf and can bring a real "go-get-em" attitude to your organization!

I am interested in doing this as well. I can think of at least one team to take and compete with! We have enough players in and around the group just not sure of the availability of them or if they would want to.

Anyone still looking for an Open or Advanced player? If my calculations are right, my rating will be ~965 after the next update...which leaves me 5 points shy of the Open cut-off, so I can play either division.

Maybe we could get enough people with beards together to form Team Beardface...the lady will have to wear a beard wig, but that shouldn't affect her play too much ;)

Who can play intermediate, need 2? Giles...? with this many people in adv we could possibly form an Established team and an Emerging team.

Obviously it would be beneficial for players to play DOWN as much as the ratings will allow.

Established teams: Have 9 players: 2 Pro, 2 Advanced, 2 Intermediate, 1 Master, 1 Amateur Woman, and one “swing” player (Pro Woman, Grand Master, or Advanced Master).


Emerging Teams: Teams consist of 6 players: 3 Advanced and 3 Intermediate.


Jack, Manderson and I played for team Crowley last year and we made it all the way to the championship game and lost to Pease Park, but we took out some good comp along the way. IT WAS A BLAST the whole time! PaRtY.

I emailed Circular Prod., and hope to get some info back and then we can go from there and see who really wants to go camp all weekend and play. AS of now we obviously have too many folks for one team.

Im sure there are enough players avail for an emerged team at least : 6ADV and 6 INT, that would be easier at this point but who knows. Sorry to anyone I didn't get to talk to about it, but obviously only so many will fit.

Thanks for the offer Buck, but i've got a back-up plan that I'm gonna try and work out. I post on the discgolfreview.com message board a lot, and there are a handful of Texans on there who are talking about forming a team...as long as we can find 3 more people we'll have an emerging team, although none of us have played together or even met one another yet :D

its all about fun anyway, so i'm more concerned about getting to play than who i get to play with. honestly, i'm more excited about the idea of glow golf at Circle R than anything else...i've heard some truly "trippy" tales ;)
