It is official everyone!

Do you think you have what it takes to play 100 holes in one day? Well now you will have your chance. This will be a trophy only tournament for the AMs and Cash for the Open.

This will benefit the Austin Humane Society

We will play seven rounds starting at dawn and ending at dusk. You will get rated for each round. Seven ratings!

Everyone will play the ace tees all day long.

The trophies will be mini baskets with a plaque on them.

I will have more specifics as I get organized.

FYI I think you have to play 15 holes a round to get a rating. but not sure.

In that case we could do 4- 12 and 4- 13 to get 8 ratings instead of seven!

What do you mean by skewed ratings? I don't understand. Please explain

What do you suggest we do in order to get "non-skewed" ratings?

The less holes the more each stroke will be worth and if you only play 12 holes you likely have a 1080 round as well as a 920 in the Open division. I say keep it at around 14 holes per round.

It's 13. And we're reviewing policy to automatically combine rounds in the future so that no rounds are less than 18 unless the whole event happens to be just 15 holes. For example, the Netherlands runs an event with three 12-hole rounds and it's rated as one 36-hole round.

108 Holes of Hell...3 rounds of 36....sound more hellish than 13 hole rounds

I agree Mitch. So we could play the entire course three times. or the Hill twice, break, Shire Twice, break, then one of each. So technically it wouldn't be 100 but we can still call it that!

We need some ideas on player's pack. Would a disc, shirt, and refreshments be good enough?

Do you have 108 or 126 holes?

either way, you should still group in 18 hole rounds for optimal ratings:

126/18=7 rounds
108/18=6 rounds

if 106 holes, I would probably do 5 rounds of 18 holes and then a final round of 16 holes.

I don't think that reducing hole #s to get one extra round rating will outweigh the negatives that result due to skewage.
Yes....I said skewage. :)

18 hole rounds also are used for any record rounds a person might shoot so the more the better.

I see the logistics if your ideas and I think its the same reasoning as Matt's.

I think we could do three (two round intervals) six total rounds!

I am glad people are taking interest to this idea!

Well, after speaking with folks around the local courses in Texas I can see that this is going to be a very selective group of disc golfers that will be attending this endurance race against time.

At this time I am asking for all volunteers that could help assist with time keeping, spotting, and motavators. I have been working real hard to come up with the perfect players package for the AMs. In order for this to be a fair game I will have only three divisions for the amature division. ( Advanced, Intermediate, and Recreation) The women will all fall under one division. This is an endurance competition so it doesn't matter what the score is. The Open players will of course play for cash and I will do my best to come up with a bonus for the pro's.

The Entry Fees for all Ams will be $60
the Entry Fees for Open will be the same (60$)
Vegas Style Ace Pot

Fees include:
$2 PDGA Fee
$5 TPCC green fee
FREE camping
$10 Breakfast and Lunch
$23 trophy fee
$15 massage theropy
$5 towel

The fees above are for the ams whom will be playing trophy only format.

Super D, can you explain the above a little better.
$60 for trophy only in am or $60 for open with payout? That's not much of a choice. Everybody should just play open if they've got any common sense.

thank you lou,

the following fees are for the ams only:
$23 trophy fee
$15 massage theropy
$5 towel

The pro only fees are as followed:
Massage theropy is optional (1$ per minute)

All divisions have to pay:
$2 PDGA Fee
$5 TPCC green fee

So pro's don't get the cool players pack that the ams do.
The Massage is 2 10 minute massages for 15$, that's 25% off the pro's marginal cost.

Pro's have to pay extra for food to.

Does this show the pro's and con's on the trophy vs open option?

This is the ams players pack and this doesn't even include all the donations we will have for CTPs and best ctp on second shot, and best score on hole???

How could you not want the am package....unless no one signs up for ams...who knows

I need to start a player's list

If the fees were 30 per AM how many of you would be interested and what division would you play?

How many pro's would play at 30 per entry?

This is a vegas style ace pot option

Fees include
3- humane society
2- pdga
5- TPCC

who wants to be on the player's list? I am making thsi cheap with a player's pack. No one wants to have all cool additional stuff so for your aAMs it will only cost $30.

Who's in and what is your pdga so I can start making a player's list!!!

I am no longer affiliated with TPCC anymore. Kamron has treated me wrong every tournament day because things have been mixed up. I have taken her stuff for the last time and I am giving up. I have also given up on TPCC. I can not be affiliated with people that treat others like junk because I am worth more than that.

Kamron yells, curses, and screams at me the moment I walked in the door this afternoon to begin helping with the sleeper. I have been trying to get signup lists and flyers from her for two weeks and have received nothing until this Thursday. I have always been the one calling and emailing and have not seen one response until three or more calls or emails were sent She is not good to work with and to be friends with because no friend treats another friend the way she has treated me.

After all the work days, all the help I gave when Corey left and the years he was there,(and I have always worked for FREE) I am no longer helping TPCC because they treat the ones that help them the most like junk and I have swallowed the last pill that they have given me.
