I know this doesn't interest die hard, tournament style golfers nearly as much as the next major or PDGA event but I wanted everyone to at least know about the Cudahy event going on this weekend.

I am working with the Friends of Cudahy Parks Group to host a low-key but fun disc golf day this Sunday, June 29th. It will have the standard tournament stuff such as 9 holes of golf (on a temp course) and a few side games. Entry fees are something like $8 for youth, $12 for teens, and $16 for adults. You'll get to pick out a disc as a player's pack. Obviously it's not high stakes but instead meant as a fun opportunity to introduce disc golf to a community for the first time.

If it is well received then the Friends Group will likely look into fund raising in the future to install their very own 9 hole beginner course.

Here is a zoomed in map of Cudahy Park (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=cudahy+park,+cudahy,+wi& ie=UTF8&ll=42.939083,-87.873094&spn=0.006896,0.013261&z=16) and a slightly zoomed out version of where the park is (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=cudahy+park,+cudahy,+wi& ie=UTF8&ll=42.986567,-87.879639&spn=0.220505,0.424347&z=11).

Of course - any questions can be directed to me.

It will start around 11 with some check in and instruction and then the 'competitive' golf won't start until around 1:00 or 1:30. If you are bored and wish to come help out please contact me for that as well.
