Calling all Flyers ,
The club has sponsored a tee pad at Bicentennial Park in
Crowley, and I am looking for a volunteer or two to lend
a hand in guarding the freshly poured concrete. Not sure
when the pad is going into the ground , but we need somebody to make sure nobody jacks with the FFC tee pad.

Anybody out there interested , lemme know. We can coordinate with Brice and make it happen.

Thanks

This particular tee pad will probably go in next weekend.
We are shooting for Saturday April 19, 2008. The FFC donated the money for hole 8. Hole 6 will go in the ground at the same time.

Brice has informed me that this Saturday the Funkytown tee pad will be going in the ground! If you would like to learn about how tee pads are made I highly encourage you to take a trip out to Crowley to watch and/or be a part of the process.

We will be putting in concrete tee pads for holes 6 and 8. Hole 8 is the funky one.

ADGA has been very gratious with all of the FFC support in the past year ... It would be great to see all of the funkyones at the Fling . Hope to see you guys there.

Agreed! What can Funkytown do to help support the Fling and ADGA? David Teague brought this up on the main thread but no one has responded yet!

I talked with Greg a while back and he said he has plenty of cash sponsors lined up. He's looking for CTP's and that sort of thing. Discs, gift certificates, or other prizes would work. Fortunately, the Fling is still a ways off. This would be a good first project for a committee under the Sponsorships Officer after elections.

Any ideas in the meantime?

we are going to have a work day the saturday before the Fling, July 12th, everyone bring their clippers, we wont be going crazy moving mulch or anything, we are just going to do some trimming along paths and fairways with the clippers supervised by the DonQ, we will have water, snacks and other tasty type beverages ;)

on behalf of the FFC, I have a brand new old Skool CE Teebird I'll throw in for a CTP or whatever the ADGA wishes to do with it, raffle, auction, give it back to me, etc
