We are proud to announce the new EDGE Tournament Charity Program available to any tournament or disc golf event.

Details can be found on the link at the EDGE website (http://www.edgediscgolf.org)

Basically, you can link your tournament with the EDGE charity and contribute funds that will be used to "seed" disc golf programs in your areas schools or youth programs.

Tournaments linked to a charity are more likely to gain greater sponsorship for your event. Not to mention you will be helping grow disc golf now and for the future.

Participating events will be eligible to win awesome prizes via an end of the season raffle:
-Salomon Snowboard
-Custom Innova DISCatcher Basket
-EDGE Package for school of your choice
-Revolution Disc Golf Bags

For inquiries or to register your event contact tournaments@edgediscgolf.org

As the 2009 Disc Golf Tour winds to a close we would like to update you on the 2nd year of the EDGE Tournament Charity Program.

We have surpassed last year's totals with flying colors thanks to our partner Tournament Directors with vision for the future of the sport and thanks to you, the players that support EDGE's link with these tournaments.

The 2009 EDGE TCP had 77 participating tournaments.
These tournaments raised over $16,000 of which we have granted out close to $8,000 for 2009. :D

We encourage you to help EDGE link with local tournaments in your area as we keep the momentum built thus far and head into the 2010 disc golf season. Ice Bowls, sanctioned and un-sanctioned tournaments or series, it doesn't matter. All areas of our nation need disc golf in schools and youth programs. Two-Thirds of the funds contributed stay right in the state of origin and help grow the sport within that state!

We currently have over 70 tournaments involved this year in the EDGE Tournament Charity Program. There is still time to get your Summer and Fall events involved. We have some great support from some very gracious companies who are excited to help the sport of disc golf grow.

All we need is your support to help the momentum going forward:D
See the links for more information in the post above.

Last night we saw 150 kids and their parents come out to Menomonie, Wisconsin Middle School to learn about the sport of disc golf. We had a great evening and got a lot of folks excited about the game! Nothing better.

Big thanks to Tina Tharp of Wellness Rocks, Jason Hendrickson and the UW Stout Disc Golf Club.

We have had 95 tournaments partner with the EDGE Tournament Charity Program (EDGE TCP) this year. There is time to break 100 and we still have a few tournament sponsorship packages available to those tournaments wishing to help grow the sport in their area and state.

EDGE TCP has granted out over $6,500 so far this year helping 30+ programs get disc golf equipment and teaching curriculum.

Please consider working with EDGE for your year end events and Ice Bowls. Follow the link for more information and e-mail with questions or the easy to follow partnering package.

Sign up your Fall event to help grow the sport!

We are trying to break last year's numbers and need some more tournaments to get involved. We have granted out over $8,000 to schools and youth programs just this year.
