lookin like Im drivin down to florida next week
schedule allows for this to take a few days- have a sort-of must-hit list goin but thought Id bounce it off yous k00ks...

mon 1/28 depart afternoon sometime- drive to cincy- 4+hrs
tue 1/29 play mt airy & idlewild then drive to BG- time for another round(?)
wed 1/30 play a couple BG courses- they got a new one goin in, rumor has the ams playin franklin longs maybe check out those... then drive to---?
(got a friend in mobile AL 8hrs from BG, also could bump it east over to the IDGC-7.5hrs from BG- and check out our sport's central hub...)
thurs 1/31 play a round(s) at one of those places but end up in orlando FL
augusta-orlando= 402mi, 6.5hrs
mobile-orlando= 497mi, ~8hrs
(big day here I know- might be able to swing another night then drive only on fri)

meeting the family 2/1 thru 2/6, drive back up 2/7&2/8
anybody know someone in FLA they can visit (isn't there an A3 ex-pat livin down in orl?) and wanna split the usuals like gas and rooms?
Im gonna continue with the fam down to Ft myers so a ride down that way is also possible
anyway typing it all out it makes it seem rather ambitious- atlanta area courses could be a better bet on a more direct line, maybe skip some BG cuz Ive played 'em before- heard good things bout those cincy courses though and they're bidding on the whirrleds so those'd be fun - maybe its worth another day 'round there then just blast south...

got .02? need a ride?

If I had a couple days off I'd head down as far as Cincy with you and hit both Mt Airy and Idlewild (love those courses!), and then you could pick me up on the way back. I would just keep playing Idlewild the whole time, living on gorp and melted snow and having the time of my life.

Your itinerary looks fairly ambitious. I'll be surprised if you can get that much discin' and drivin' done in the time you've allotted -- good luck!

I moved to Orlando in August, and I love it. While I miss A2 and Ypsi, year round golf in the sun can clear those blues right away. I am about 25 minutes west of the courses in Orlando. I usually do not play during the week, due to work, but play on both Saturday and Sunday. I would recommend both to play Turkey Lake(2 courses) and Barnett Park(2 courses). We have a B-Tier at Barnett during the 9th and 10th. PM me for my number, so when you come down we can get a round in.

meeting up with the fam in orlando when they finish with mickey mouse on fri then heading back on down to Ft Myers where my momNlaw has a place- we lived there for a 1.5yrs so Ive got golf buddies there and will catch their sat league and tues nite glow...

so anyway my only chance at golf in orl would be that friday while I wait for Walt to release my kids

Check out Disc Golf Course Review, http://www.dgcoursereview.com/ and especially use the Map feature to help plan your trip. That site has a wealth of great course information.
