folks,

i am looking for a few players who are truly terrible putters to be featured in an upcoming article and accompanying video.

merely weak putters need not apply. i am looking for the worst of the worst. a special subsection of terrible putters exists for those players who can putt effectively in practice but are terrible in tournaments. i am interested in you as well.

my selection criteria includes not only the degree of putting feebleness, but also:

*availability during the day for video taping (good lighting)

*desire to improve, including willingness to try a training regimen. btw, i can make you better.

i am looking to start the process in january and finish it in february.

willing applicants please contact me directly.

folks,

based on a few discussions, let me add some clarity to the upcoming putting clinic:

while i am looking for poor putters, you need not be the worst who ever lived to fit the program. several folks have called wondering if they suck enough to qualify. well, if you think you do then you probably do. ask yourself: do you look at the other people in your division and realize that if you do not outdrive them you have little chance of beating them? If your upshot is not parked are you dreading the bogie? do you layup within the putting circle to avoid 3 putts or worse? Or do you just 3 putt all the time? do you hate putting in wind? do you hate straddle putts? do you hate putting?

perhaps more important, are you motivated to putt better? are you willing to spend a month to find out how much better you can become?

i will be hosting the first meeting and videotaping for the clinic on Saturday, january 19th @10:30 am at hudson mills metropark at the practice basket. the final videotaping is set for 4 saturdays later-February 16th, also at hudson mills @10:30.

If you want to participate or are thinking about it, please contact me @ 248-505-3568

Participants are expected to attend both video sessions. Non-participants are welcome to attend and observe-or secretly follow the program if you wish.

For those that may want to observe, whereabouts HM might you be found?

Who in their right minds would miss an opportunity to be a better putter. I know that it is winter, but STILL!

If Stubbs is a terrible putter, I'm abysmal.

... wait, we already knew that.

I must have been riding some kind of high the day we played woj, cause I am an aweful putter.

Guys and Gals,

Feel free to blow off all your earthly responsibilities and join us next saturday morning. If anyone complains simply explain that your were just following the advice of your attorney.

After the first session of the putting clinic, Local 101 hosts a doubles at the Mills at noon.

I had to pick a date and coordinate it with Discraft's Brian Sullivan for video and photos. So I'm stuck with Saturdays.

I now have 4 confirmed participants for the clinic. Ideally I would like 8 to 10. So don't be shy. There is no shame in being a poor putter. The only shame is continuing to compete and not improving. Of course, if you really enjoy putting terribly then carry on.

I can make you a much better putter in one month.

Mark, I am not a terrible putter, but I certainly would like to get better. I have the "motivation" part that you refer to as the "important" thing to have. Am I outside your range of preferred students?

Mark when we spoke, I forgot to ask where to meet at Hudson Mills.

I now have 5 confirmed for the putting clinic.

Because I would like more participants and because it appears people are reluctant to admit their putting feebleness-although we all know there is plenty of feebleness out there- I will take 5 more players who are highly motivated to improve their putting.

Call me to sign up. 248-505-3568.

The first video session is this coming Saturday @ 10:30am, at the Hudson Mills practice basket.

There are 10 confirmed participants for the putting clinic.

I have asked a number of the Discraft sponsored Pros to attend in case anyone has questions about putting mechanics or strategy.

The clinic is not a "how to putt" lesson. It is a program to improve putting effectiveness. Spectators are welcome.

Weather Forecast: Saturday
Colder. Partly sunny with a chance of snow showers. Highs 12 to 16. West winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 40 percent. Wind chill readings down to around 7 below.

If you can putt well in that weather, you are 1 bad m^@#&^%*#%&r -- I'm already on probation so use your imagination on that last word.

Ah Dizzle Dazzle, prepare for suspension as your post is clearly implying profanity. Sorry, but my eyes are already stinging from reading a few personal attacks this morning, and I don't want them to start bleeding from seeing too much implied profanity.
