I believe Larry may have included a small fee for the Lunch and Barrel of Bell's. Other than that I don't know. It was one of the first things I thought of when I looked at the registration as well.
Did the PDGA increase sanction fees like they did with the non member fee?

the most wonderous thing happens in the winter at Coldbrook...no matter how chilly it is outside, the bathrooms by the boat launch are always 80degrees. Entrance fees do go to good use.
BTW, how's that roman bath coming at Hudson Mills. Isn't that what your 2008 fee's fees are going to?

Overlook for the weekend:
Sat partly cloudy, chance of snow 30%, hi of 37 low of 24.
Sund, windy, chance of percipitation 40% flurries w/ partial sun, hi 39-low of 27.

The accuweather forecast is looking a little less daunting than when they were calling for 3-6 inches of new snow and 40 mph winds. Now its less snow and less wind.
Anybody know how much snow is on the ground in K'zoo right now?

Feb 07 2008, 01:02 PM
Actually ZV would probably still be able to get a job in meteorology with those predictions. It really is one of the few jobs in the world that you can be wrong every day and still have a job. I may start doing some meteorology in my spare time to pay some bills.

Feb 07 2008, 01:35 PM
We got 3-5 yesterday so there is about 5-7 on the ground. I will be assessing Coldbrook tomorrow and can post my observations.

Hey, Mark -
Foz, pal of mine from this area, will be out this w/e gathering footage at the CPC.
He was looking for ideas and, among others, I suggested getting some sound-bits from you folks on the Worlds front. If you or Larry or KD, heck even all of you, want to get a word or two in, there might be another promo piece in the works. Some of the activities, color, plans, parties, gear, swag, swill, what ever you have to tell him about, by all means do so, if you get a chance.
Best of luck with the event, I hope the forecast brightens.

I really miss the Cracked Plastic Classic! For some reason they never have kegs of Bells down here in FL...Anyway, I'll have to settle on the Barnett Park Championships in Orlando. No Bell's, but the forecast says 76 degrees for the high...
PS...Good luck Mark! Hopefully you haven't been too busy procuring sponsership to let your game slip...Its time for you to win an Advanced tourney!
And there are 88 disc golfers signed up for this -- draw your own conclusions, disc golfers are hardy; disc golfers are crazy; disc golfers like frostbite ....
Kalamazoo forecast:
Tonight
Windy. Snow showers. Areas of blowing snow overnight. Snow accumulation 2 to 3 inches. Lows zero to 5 above. West winds 15 to 20 mph increasing to 30 to 35 mph overnight. Gusts up to 51 mph. Chance of snow 80 percent. Lowest wind chill readings 8 below to 18 below zero overnight.

Sunday
Windy. Snow showers. Areas of blowing snow. Snow accumulation an inch or less. Near steady temperature 5 to 10 above. West winds 30 to 35 mph becoming northwest 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 46 mph. Chance of snow 80 percent. Wind chill readings 9 below to 19 below zero.

playing in this kind of weather is not the only crazy thing... its driving in it. i hope that every one has a safe drive home- here in Kazoo the roads are horrible. ( i was gonna go out to the course to laugh at all the crazy golfers, but it took over 20 minutes just to do a normal 5 minute drive)
typically, i know how to dress when its cold- but in this, it doesnt seem like there is much you can do- hand warmers dont even work when its this frigid.
however, hope everyone at the CPC had a blast today!

69s from lansing was bruuutal sunday morning, glare ice and periodic sideways snow- great control game by trveor for gettin us there- of the several cars we saw in the ditch many had just passed us as we crawled along...
the cold of the day wouldn't have been too bad alone but the absolutely relentless wind, especially around the edges of the course, made for a day of golf that must've made everyone's "top5 nastiest" list. 3foot putts took concentration and many still got pushed offline. Hands exposed for one shot hurt...
thanks to Larry and all who helped
highlights of the day in no particular order are the handwarmers, the chili/cheesynoodle lunch (I mixed), the BEER, the plastic sheeting that kept the wind out, and of course the other goofballs out on a day like that one...

Wait is this the same yellow disc that I was asking about? I sure hope so, because all these posts about discs and colors and finding them sure are confusing!

All I know is I didn't lose a yellow disc, but I did lose a blue disc with taylor's name on it.

Taylor, didn't you find your disc that KD took from you. You should sell it back to him. And will someone PLEASE return ZV's name!

Finders, Keepers!
If ZV wants his name back, he is going to have to pay me for it. I have it in a dirty, muddy box along with all of the other names that I pull out of random water hazards from around the state.

It is in Flint. Maybe I will bring it with me to Lumberjack. $5 and you can have it back.

Fine...
I would hate for you to not have your name for over a week.

Next time you lose it though...
