Charles was -4 going into hole 4. finished 4, 6, 6, 3, 5 for a +5. Jay started strong but the beltbuster got to him late and he finished mid-upper single digits as did Adam who birdired 8, 7, and 6 all with great putts. Parker quit counting when he got to double digits over. I shot near or at my best with a +4.

Anyhow, would we get some club support for a "girly station" at the Texas Women's Championship this year? I'm still a bit fuzzy on the details, but I'm pretty sure it's just a booth or area of some sort that we'd set up and provide "hospitality" to the participants. Shouldn't be a big deal really but I know other TX clubs do it and it would be cool to see ours there. I'll spring for an OMB/YGB banner (since I'm having a titleDISC one made anyway) that we could hang on a table and give out lemonade :). I thought it might be of interest since we have at least 3 active lady golfers in our club of which I'm hoping at least 2 get to attend.

Yes I need another basket...My pops will bring his and we will need one more. We will be there at 9am to warm up and place the two alternates...Where were you thinking about putting these alternates? I don't think we should split up three. Thats just my opinion.

If anything, I think we should play blue 17 to an alternate basket somewhere near the red 17 tee box and then play 17red to the normal basket. And put the other alternate hole behind that cedar that is behind 17's basket down by the water.

not sure about the triples... I think those two plus a guy would dominate just about any other team :)

Splitting up three is necessary for tournament flow... we don't have to do it tomorrow, but I think it needs to be that way for the tournament. I was hoping that tomorrow would give us a feel for how it plays. your choice though.

met pancake and lefty at the lake. one round at the lake, a second at ll woods. rained all the way there and all the way home, but was dry while we played. sweet.

I was out at Rockwall today and decided to call it quits after hole 14. As I was walking back to the car I cut across 16 and 17 long's teepad down towards the lake. There is this concrete landing area thing next to the pond. Perfect for a teepad I thought. There is a tree across the pond I decide to use as a target. So I pulled out a couple of Wraits and let em fly. Both landed safely on the other side. One hit the branches and landed 3 ft. from the trunk and the other was about 20-25 past the tree.

It could easily be played after 17 and flow with the course.

I also thought we could put an optional drop zone about 45-50 away from the basket so folks that did not want to risk losing a disc or don't have the arm to get it there would have a decent shot at a circle three.

There is just something cool about chucking a disc over 300 feet of water. Next time you are out there, take a look at it.

unfortunately, this part of the lake is "off limits" to disc golf play unless the park is closed. The entire amphitheater area (including the grass seating area) and the part of the pond on the West side of the bridge is all considered a no-fly zone because of fishermen, children at play, path walkers, etc.

Given full reign of the park... we could add more than one temp hole :D
