Seeing as I don't play on Sunday mornings, I don't think I would remember them on Sundays. I remember you not being there on Saturday mornings at 8:30. :p Maybe that's why you don't remember them. You must be old.

thanks for the lesson Mark and Kevin
we didn't even get our "one" shot of the day, but maybe my off the tree birdie was close
looking like a Sun 3 or 4pm round...
still would like to play the back at GB, or something else we can get done before dark and after the game for those watching it
be good today Raiders and LOSE!!!!
Bam Bam - do you lurk anymore??? were is that TX smack?
reddman
Nov 22 2008, 03:54 PM
Glad I was able to actually come out and play. (That's what she said.) I should take off a month and a half all the time. Good putting, Kevin.
Don't know if Bam Bam lurks anymore or not. He still talks some smack about how great UT is.

Team Carrollton won their pool!!!
Thor
Nov 24 2008, 01:43 PM
Yeah, we won our pool, made it thru 3 teams in the sweet 16 to the finals and got edged out by Crowley.. Intermediate Dalton the Bagger. Lots of fun, still stingin from the loss in the end. Solid golf from our squad! I think 26 teams and the final 2 were DFW!!!!

Anyone decide on Fritz this Saturday for the Club Championships?
Giles
Nov 26 2008, 12:36 PM
I wanted to play but I've got too much other stuff going on at the house.
Josh, did you order the bins?
oh,,, Texas Teams was awesome. The best disc golf experience. Thanks again for putting the team together Bucky. I'll keep my rating nice and low incase we go again next year.
For anyone that has heard me talk about Nelson's Place up North. He is having a tournament this Saturday. $40, Cash payout two rounds of 24. Divisions. If you arn't a Irving club member this would be the next best thing.
baldguy
Nov 26 2008, 05:43 PM
I have tried to order those stinkin bins... holidays are a bad time for it I guess.
On a brighter note though - We've decided to run another 1-day C-tier in Carrollton next month! 2 rounds on Sunday, Dec. 28th. flex dubs all day saturday. fun times to be had.

I'll be in Irving, helping out, selling plastic and other gear, probably playing too.
Anyone who isn't already planning on attending the Irving Club Championship should think about making it... $25 entry and you get your choice of free club-stamped discs. not too freakin shabby :). Plus you get to play some of the old-school holes and a few new ones. Fritz Park on steroids!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, your families and your friends!
Bear Creek had at least 40 players out there this morning getting a round in before heading to their next stops to fill their bellies up.
I have been going there now for atleast 8 years with my brother and it only gets bigger and bigger out there each year..
Nothing like a nice -3 with 4 putting bogies to get the day started
Steven, Lawty and Lockwood were out there also playing ahead of us with a junior player - good times
I get to work tomorrow, but I will catch some of you at Fritz Saturday morning
Peace

Dang - Baylor came so close on several games this year. :( Watch out for the Bears and Art Briles next year.
Really??? TT says what about us? Beat UT by 6 at home but get beat by 44 on the road. Don't get me wrong; I was definitely pulling for TT to beat OU.

what happened to you and JJ being signed up for Tyler?
Family issues forced me to withdraw. I'll be going past Tyler on my way to spend a week in Louisiana. Bummer too...I have been looking forward to PWO all year. GREAT COURSES and a well run tournament.

I haven't played down that far South in LA. Looks like you're in disc golf no-man's-land though :D
Only 1 course in the area that I could find, and it sounds more like a prison than a course: Ward 3 Recreation DGC (http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=2831)
The only review says it has 1 (count em...1) tree on the course :D

bucky, you gonna help a brotha lay out the beltbuster 21-hole config? maybe bring your "buddy" parker? I was thinking the day after xmas. you in? anyone else? Not going to be terribly different from the normal buster but we gots to add a couple holes. 3, really :)

Parker will be ready to do the signs at 2am :)
I can probably lend a hand but I actually have to work that day..if you are still out there in the afternoon I can get out there
How did day one Tyler go?
Rockwall covered the entire course with nice signs showing the way to the next pad - shorts and longs and each basket..
baldguy
Dec 06 2008, 11:45 PM
did you ever find a buddy to meet you out there? :D
Day 1 @ Tyler proved that I have no business playing competitive DG until I start practicing again. I was terrible. beyond terrible. abysmal. Speaking of abysmal, the scores are posted but we can't view them yet. The cache must expire before we can get to the scores... needless loss of sleep. this web design is as bad as my golf game.
on the positive, there are now at least a half-dozen or so more people wearing TitleDISC gear!

Ace RUNS :)
baldguy
Dec 07 2008, 11:29 PM
Nearly hit a couple of them :). Sunday was better but I still didn't get back to cash... I think I missed it by 2 strokes. If the PDGA had a good website, we'd know by now .
I did manage to grab more birdies in my last round than the other 3 combined. I got 5 out of my last 6 holes to finish under par for the only time of the tournament. I think the main difference was wearing my MP3 player / headphones. I will try that next time around too
you guys missed some great weather and another awesome tyler tournament. Don't miss out on Carrollton ;)

How long does it take this dumb website to reset?
Jerry posted them up probably close to an hour ago

Josh - you need to get the PDGA to list your event on the calendar - it isn't up there currently
Giles
Dec 08 2008, 02:32 PM
To whomever it may concern. Old Man runs glow doubles at Lake Park at 6:30 on Tuesday nights. $5, cash payout. He was talking about possibly going pro/am to keep it competitive for everyone.

I just renewed our club for 2009 so we can all utilize the discount on renewal and the few other perks
I assume most of you will just register online through the PDGA store, but Cliff should be sending me some snail mail entry forms also if needed
Not sure exactly how long it will take for us to show as "current' for 2009, but when you choose from the drop-down of clubs it should show '09 before our name showing us a current
We only need 10 to keep the thread, club and discounts so it should not be a problem, but let me know when you do if you would so I can keep track until then
Thanks
gnduke

If you haven't already seen the many photos of this place and the previous tournaments held here...just another reason to renew for 2009 - Jim is having a NT there next year and I believe am's will be a week before or so
Just FYI, I have started a new thread under clubs on discgolfersR.us, go to discgolfersR.us and click on clubs, then type in The Lodge at Taylor Ranch. This will be a site where we can share information on happenings and improvements here at The Lodge. Please join.
