It is so nice to know that the ADGA has a few certified PDGA officials.
Ummmmm, Greggles, can you please publicly tell the message board how you guys handled the "lost disc" on hole #5 yesterday morning during the ADGA mini?
I'm sure this will be good...... :D

Oil Slick is a former Advanced Masters World Champ, surely he knows the rules. The group, which included a card carrying pdga official, MUST have found the disc and played from it's lie. ;) :p

im sure they re-teed or threw from the previous lie, however, we've lost them on five before at night and just said eff it, throw from over there and lets just get off this freakin hole  :D

Oil Slick is old and confused. The rules have changed since his heyday. The new OFFICIAL should have known though. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

He never found the disc. O.S. said the club owed him a Banshee. Good one Willy! :D

Actually, Oil Slick went back after the round and found it.
There's no doubt that it was lost during the round. Our foursome sat on 5's tee pad and watched them search for 10 minutes, which is a whole different infraction. :o Greggles? :D

if you guys are folloowing PDGA rules on this one, then i am definitely taking back the stroke you gave me for being above 2M. the TD failed to specify before the event, therefore the default condition of no penalty applies.

The TD did specify before the event that 2m and above is OB. He specified it the first mini after the rule change last year. I think it went a little something like this: "At an ADGA mini, 2m and up has always been and will always be declared OB." I don't see the same problem that you see.
I do see a problem with Greggy though. I think he is avoiding confrontation. :D

screw that. that was a different event. besides, when i'm the td, across the sidewalks is not ob when i forget to announce it. whatever td said what you say he/she said, if in fact he/she ever said it at all, doesnt matter. the reason these rules are in place is to handle the cases in which the td does NOT specifiy!

....but it was specified! :D
And when you TD, you have to say that sidewalks and beyond are OB b.c normally they are not. It's clearly a double standard. You specify, others dont have to. :D

Well i was told by a reliable source, (KC), that you were both in the woods looking for an alleged lost disc when you offered to go down and he respectfully declined out of respect for his new love, Jessica S.

Willy lost his drive on Hole #5. We were in the group behind them and waited for 10 minutes on the tee pad. When we saw all of them on the green we figured the disc was found b/c Willy did not come back up to the tee and rethrow. After the round, Willy said he had to go find his disc on Hole #5. We said, "What?!" :D
We had no idea they
were using the 2006 PDGA Rules of Play. :D

i wonder what Willy carded on that hole? does the coverup run even deeper? do we need to get the PDGA office involved? is Greg really a mole for the Southern Nationals tour?

A mole for SNDG. LOL.
Greggles, When you TD the 2008 Fling and possibly the 2008 Pro VPO, will we be playing by 2006 rules? :D

All I know is that the header on the exam I took in November said "2006 PDGA Rules of Play – Officials Test #1"

Hey Greggles, here's a quote from one of the "Crucify the Moderator" threads:
Shive is a PDGA Major event where rules are strictly enforced and the atmosphere could be pretty intense.
Jeff La_G is an NT event or a well run A-tier where rules are not ignored and are definitely looked upon with a microscope hoping for some sort of infraction.
MTL is a solid B-tier. Mostly here for comradere and competition; not so worried about enforcing everything, just wants to play well and cash.
Doot , he's a sunday morning mini where almost anything goes. Much like a local TD who once totally ignored the new lost disc rule and allowed the player to play from where the group last saw it flying. :D
