The tournament registation has been uploaded. You can view it here http://www.pdga.com/tournament/tournament_results.php?TournID=7486

It will be updated on a day to day basis as new players sign up. I did recieve the PFDS bundle this morning, Friday, and will update the TD report tonight. We still have one possibly two more clubs signing up through the club sponsorship program. After this weekend i'll add all the players that have signed up without a clubs backing.

As of right now we are on track to fill very fast. If you are not signed up for the PASDGC i would suggest doing so soon. I'll have flyers at the Deer Lakes Monthly next weekend for any PFDSer that did not sign up with the club.

The scores will have to wait to be posted. Our TD report got messed up when entering scores. The Excel spreadsheet's automatic addition fomula went bad. They will be posted my tomorrow night.

I can tell you that Nate Krahn will be heading to the USDGC with free entry fee and $575 spending money.

Kurt,

When uploading scores to the PDGA website, you upload only the individual round scores. You don't add up totals - the PDGA software does that for you. All you upload is name, pdga #, round scores, and prize. If you want to send the spreadsheet to me, I would be willing and glad to do that for you.

Otherwise, please try to upload the scores as soon as possible so that people can view their round ratings.

kUrTp
May 05 2008, 07:59 AM
I never added up the scores of the individual round scores but neither did the PDGA software. Thats where the problem was with the excel spreadsheet. After i get out of the office today i'm rework the scores and have them posted.

Thanks for the help though.

May 05 2008, 08:09 AM
Kurt,

I guarantee you that the online software will add up the totals correctly from the individual round scores. Please, Kurt, I would be willing and glad to upload the scores for you. Just e-mail the spreadsheet with the scores to me and I'll instantly upload them to the PDGA server and everyone will know their order of finish, prize, and have their round ratings.

IUP College Lodge Scorecard (http://pfds.org/docs/scorecards/College_Lodge_Scorecard.pdf)

White tees = 900 rated
Blue tees = 950 rated

The only hole I would question par is #14 in the B-position. For a 950 rated player, I think this hole should be a par 4. J Gary mentioned he might consider moving the pin further up the hill to make it a true par 5.

in the B Position, IMO, for ALL players, hole #14 is a par 4.

Okay, here goes the debate. Keep in mind that I haven't played every single one of these B tees and B pin positions.<ul type="square"> Hole#7 White tee to A pin - only 348 feet and just a tough par 3. The problem is that golfers try to get too aggressive and go for the pin and then have no escape out of jail and take 4s. A conservative shot down the tunnel to the edge of the green leaves a long jump putt and possible shot at deuce and a very easy up'n'down for 3 at worst. From white to A, this should not be a pro par four. At 402' and downhill, from white to A, hole#14 is a par 3, imo. For all other tee and pin positions, it's a pro par four. At 456 feet and with a severe dogleg to the right midway through the hole, I think hole#16 from blue tee to B pin is a pro par four.
With these changes, I get the following: <ul type="square"> IUP College Lodge White Tees/A Pins Par 57 IUP College Lodge Blue Tees/A Pins Par 59 IUP College Lodge White Tees/B Pins Par 60 IUP College Lodge Blue Tees/B Pins Par 61
I posted on the PFDS thread but I should put it here as well. The course looked great this weekend and nothing but fun was had by all that I encountered.

IDLA, you did a fine job at running PASDGC's, fine job indeed. Thank you for everything.

Let's start with hole #1. In B pin from white tee you're looking at 519' and 615' from the blue tee. That IMO is a par 4, with OB left the entire way.

Hole #4 in B-Pin from both tees is a par 4. That's one of the steepest greens I’ve seen. And I think Gotcha said the same thing, he's played a lot more courses than I have. In A-pin it's a ? par 4. Probably should be a par 3.5.

Hole #7 I agree, from white tee it’s a easy par three, as long as you can throw straight. Blue tee it changes to a par 4 from white. With the pin in B sleeve it’s again a par 4 from both tees.

Hole #12 from white to B-pin is 395’, from Blue to B-pin is 462’. From White to A pin it’s 397’ and from Blue to A pin it’s 465’. And since I’ve never really looked at these measurements before I just realized that this is WRONG. White to A pin can’t be longer than White to B pin.

Hole #14 I agree with Jeff. White to A is a par 3. All other configurations it’s a par 4.

Hole #16 Blue to B or A pin I think is a par 4. White tee to A or B pins it’s a Par 3.

Hole #18 Par 4. No questions asked. I only know 2 people who deuced it. Gotcha almost being the third but tanked it.

White to A pin – Par 57
White to B pin – Par 60
Blue to A pin – Par 61
Blue to B pin – Par 61

We did base all pars off of last year’s scoring average except for Hole #16 from Blue Tee.

Now I really got to get back to work.
