The Red Raiders from TTU are headed to the Gator Bowl on Jan 1, 2008. Virginia is defense. We are high offense. This game will be interesting. I might go to this one...wonder what DG courses Jacksonville has to offer? Go Tech!

Stop this controversial post. If you take back all of the points Tech scored, the Sooners would have won that game. :( :DAs a matter of fact, if you take back the 2 losses, the Sooners would be undefeated and should be playing for the national championship. :D, and if I birdied every hole at every tournament I ever played, well I would be an undefeated world champion. :D:DI have no doubt that many of you will find my uncanny ability figure things like this out is amazing. I know I do :D. Tech will spank Virginia and OU will spank West Virginia. Big 12 punish all other non conference pagans. :D:D

He is one heck of a football player and I would not be surprised if he is in New York a year from now.

Tech once again with another comeback upset victory!!! Man we are good at letting the opponent go to sleep and then we sneak up on them and take the win!!! I love our team!!! :D

Comback yes, upset not....we were picked by 6. We should (could) have beat them by much more. Virginia basically got 18 points from the two intentional grounding calls. Then there was the single long 96 yard run. Otherwise we played pretty good. On the other hand, we did get a break on the non-call fumble. On the other hand, Virginia just did not seem to get the penalties that we did (the taungting call, when not but a few plays earlier, they did the same with not a call). The announcers, producer, etc. must have had Virginia connections....got tired of seeing the Virginia band, cheerleaders, etc. A win is a win. Tech is ranked 12th in the nation for next year...I could see us being much better (maybe even 12 better?).

Well at least you all struck down the pagans. :DI watched the game and I must say that was a classic hot stick in the eye for Virginia :DAs for the Sooners, We are the victims of brutish rule breakers that show no regard for decency. Congrats TT.!!! and the Sooners will rise again. :D

And how 'bout them Red Raider's B-Ball win over the pooooor aggies. It was the third straight win over them (and they were top ten ranked each time)! It was also Bob Knight's 900 career win. So, for the next 100 years the highlight films will show Tech beating the aggies again. I suspect that Tech (men and women) will have a very, very tough time making the big show this year.

Good bye, Bob Knight, I will not miss you!

It's still Knight time at Tech. You know, the Knight with the good name. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Tech is young...one of the teams that will beat anyone and then loose to Billy Bob High School. The media says that they are playing to the ability of the opposing team. I think that last few games of the season are going to be a roller coaster ride.

It's time for Red Raider football! There are some very high expectations this year....I think that they're pretty deserved. If we can just get out of the extremely strong Big 12 South, then we can ? (don't want to even say it, may jinx things).

ATTENTION ALL LADY DISC GOLFERS
OK, LISTEN UP LADIES. I am trying to help here. I am beginning to wonder if the ladies of disc golf really want to promote this sport or just gripe about the low numbers of women players. I have issued a challenge on other threads to help those who want to help themselves. RESULTS, the board went quiet. My wife and I are trying to build a disc golf resort near tulsa, oklahoma. We are not disc golfers but we love the sport and the disc golf community as a whole. We are absolutely putting our money where our mouth is. We have had the honor of having our course played by some very good women players, including Courtney Peavey and Valerie Jenkins. As newcomers to the sport, I do my research by surfing other clubs discussion boards and try to ascertain needs of the sport where we might be able to fill a niche. To that end, we are willing to host an all women's tournament with some substantial added money (depending on the number of entries). All I hear from women is their concern about the lack of competition or female competitors. It is obvious to me that we need to raise the bar for women in this sport. If there is genuine concern for this sport by enough ladies, then we are here to help you, ladies, raise the bar. If it is just a venue for negative comments then, count us out. Any ladies want to do something positive and good for ladies disc golf. The ball is now in your court. Jim Taylor, owner, The Lodge in Pawhuska, Ok. 918-724-3121.

We won by a bunch of points over Eastern Washington, but it felt like a loss as our play was not that good. Nevada is up next...and they have a good/tall QB and a very good running back. Typically, run defense is our demise. We'll see Sat night (no TV yet )

4-0 going into an open week. K-State, Nebraska, a&m up next...so 7-0 for the KU game.

Okay, still on track, now at 5-0. Nebraska on Sat 11th in Lubbock. I think Nebraska is due for a good game soon....hope not next week though.

Nebraska played very well. They absolutely controlled the ball and kept us off the field (I think Tech only had four posessions in the first half). We were two short of a Tech record low for plays run (48 I think). We usually play fast, get many plays. In this game, we did score fast when we actually had the ball. We had our first penalty and only turnover of the game in overtime....also very uncharacteristic of the team. Next week at a&m. This one is always a good game....but, the POOR aggies are having a rough year(s). Tech should control this one.

The aggies played us very well through at least two and a half quarters. The game was closer than the score shows. Tech went back to the old ways of getting a penalty on every other play. And, our kickers and kick teams should be hung from the goal posts (since they can't find them). KU up next...and at Lawrence. Our biggest test so far. Tech probably has the roughest schedule in the nation coming up...KU, Texas, OSU, OU, and well Baylor. Doc?

Stop your crying the Pokes have had it rougher! You will finally start playing some decent football teams this week. If you can make it through this game with KU then you can have the Pokes leftovers in UT next week. Then, on comes THE COWBOYS!!!!! Get ready for a BIG dose of ORANGE POWER!!!!! GO COWBOYS!!!!!!

Yeehaw. Gooooooooo Tech! ESPN's College Game Day in Lubbock for the game. A defensive stop or two, a turnover, maybe a penalty will decide the game. The offenses will cancel eachother out.
Thanks for the blue disc Doc. I dread b-ball season.

Lmao--tech has the 113th rated schedule out of 119 teams---do you really think you're that good??? You couldn't stop Nevada or Nebraska--- and no thats not the Nebraska defense of old---u even let dreadful A&M out gain you--they're TERRIBLE
You do have the advantage of everyone gettn wasted and flinging tortillas. Yea, Tech will score a few points, but not enough to make a difference unless the Horns just dont show up-which I doubt after the scare last weekend  :D

Tech "sawed em off "- What a great game.
Cograts to all the Windriders must be proud of those Raiders. Can they do it again?
p-katt
Nov 04 2008, 07:46 PM
Yes, they can do it again! I really think OSU is very dangerous with a great running back and a great receiver. I feel that our lines (offense and defense are better) lately. We must score, and score often to win this one. Once again, a turnover here or there really make a big difference as both offenses can turn them into points (many teams can't do that as well).
Gooooooooo TECH!

Like the headlines in the AJ said, "OUCH." When we played OSU our A-F grades were nearly all A's. For this past game, our grades were nearly all F's. OU did to us what we did to OSU. Please, OSU, help us out and beat OU. Go Cowboys.

Ouch. We forgot to get off of the bus. Oh well :(. Next year looks pretty good for Tech Football. Leach, The Mad Scientist, was featured on '60 Minutes' and did a pretty good job. Recuiting for future Red Raiders continues.....
