Isn't it like a blind squirl? They all find an acorn eventually. :D

Do they know what kind of bowl bid they are getting yet? Or does it depend on the results of the conference championship?

They've been living on a prayer for weeks. If they can find one more sweet tart against LSU, they will go to a BCS bowl, even with 3 losses.
I wonder if we have to renew our club affiliation?

PDGA Affiliate Club Program
Welcome to the PDGA Affiliate Club web page.
The PDGA would like to announce the 3rd year of the Affiliate Club PDGA Membership contest. For details, scroll down to the bottom of this page.

2008 will be the seventh year for the ACP. We hope the club program will continue to evolve into a useful tool for disc golf clubs around the country. We've tried to design it to be easy for a club to make the decision to become an Affiliate. Check out the benfits below and "do the math". Suggestions of additional benefits are welcome - the Affiliate Club program has been a community project throughout initial design and it is your input that helps the program develop as it grows.

BENEFITS

- Current PDGA members on the Affiliate Club’s roster will be able to take the PDGA officials test with no fee.

- The club contact will receive a form for ACP discounted PDGA memberships. The club will be allowed to discount $5 for each ACP handled PDGA membership.

- (NEW) For each club that registers by Februrary 1st, 2008, the club contact will receive 5 copies of each 2008 issue of Flying Disc Magazine! (Renewing 2007 Clubs that handled more than 25 discounted PDGA memberships in 07 will get 10 copies of each issue.)

- Upon receipt of the ACP fee of $25, the club contact will be sent one PDGA Course Directory.

- The club will also receive a forum on the DISCussion Board.

<- Various disc sport merchants are offering exclusive discounts to ACP members.

1) Discovering The World is happy to offer 10% off our extensive product line to
Affiliate Club members who are also current PDGA members. This offer
excludes, D.G.A. and Innova baskets, our beginner package and any other
promotional discounts. This discount must be mentioned at the time of
ordering by phone, fax, mail, e-mail and off our secure web site (in the
comments section @ www.dtworld.com (http://www.dtworld.com)).

We have plenty to get done and could use more help. Click on the Projects button to see some areas that we have identified that could use your help. Ways to contribute to the effort right now include:

Some of our courses do not have the Latitude and Longitude for the 1st tee entered at the PDGA Course Directory
Help making course maps - look for the PDGA Course Map Project to launch in 2008.
We need some pieces on club play formats: ladders, match play etc.
We would like to collect some other club oriented documents for publication on these pages.
We would like to the clubs to coordinate with their State and Provincial Coordinators to get more courses surveyed for the PDGA Course Evaluation Program.
The Affiliate Club PDGA Membership Contest

The Affiliate Club PDGA Membership Contest

In 2006 we launched a contest to reward those Affiliate Clubs that turned in the most PDGA Bundled memberships. It was received so well in 2006 and 2007 that we are doing it again in 2008!

The contest will run from Nov 1st 2007 through Aug 31st 2008 and will include only 2008 ACP handled PDGA memberships that are submitted by active 2008 PDGA Affiliate Clubs, In the interests of allowing clubs of different sizes a shot at winning, there are 3 categories for this contest: - A) Most PDGA bundled members - B) Most new PDGA members in the bundles - C) Most improved PDGA bundled memberships

A) will award the club with the most bundled memberships turned in, B) will award the club that turns in the most new PDGA members in their bundles, while C) will award the club that turns in the most memberships above their 2007 number of ACP handled PDGA memberships.

A club can win only one of the 3 categories. If the 1st place club has already won in another category, the prize will go to the 2nd place club and so on.

Each winning club will receive $100 in credit for the PDGA Store.

Please contact Cliff Towne with any questions about this contest or about the PDGA Affiliate Club Program by clicking on "Affiliated Club Program" on the PDGA Contacts page.

The winning clubs in 2007 were:

A) Most PDGA bundled members - Kansas City Flying Disc Club (69)

B) Most new PDGA members in the bundles - St. Louis Disc Golf (17)

C) Most improved PDGA bundled memberships - Rocket City Chain Gang (16 [25 --> 41])*

*HONORABLE MENTION: Kansas City Flying Disc Club (47 [22 --> 69])

Each winning club will receive $100 in credit for the PDGA Store.

Please contact Cliff Towne with any questions about this contest or about the PDGA Affiliate Club Program by clicking on "Affiliated Club Program" on the PDGA Contacts page.

I renewed yesterday on line and couldn't even find the affilliate section, but then I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff. Will I get in trouble with the monitors for calling myself names? Can I call myself an idiot and not get put on double secret squirrel probation?

just dont dare criticize the renew process or the online component or you might get put on the bad list.

dryhistory
Jan 03 2008, 06:10 PM
yeah, it took me a while to figure it out, you have to go to the pdga store, look at a tiny link in the bottom left menu bar for "affiliate clubs" then click on the reg link, its the same form you renewed with except there is an option to select the club you want to renew thru. if we send in the 25, next year the adga will be listed. we can be a little more organized about it. especially since we have a big tournament the first week of january and everyone really needs to be renewed by then.

So glad you volunteered to be in charge of that pancake.
I wouldn't curse the renewal process, just my ability mentally to use it.

Why not post the direct link? What are you on probation or something? Would you like me to post the direct link in the dress code forum?

sandalman
Jan 04 2008, 05:01 PM
no, probably not good to post it on a main thread. true, its not a direct link. and if it is offensive, then it must be for Calhoun also. but, why tempt fate.

the record shows i have NEVER been PROBED or BANNED. thats what makes certain people mad. they dont need ammo. if that link gets posted, it wont be by me. altho they'll probably yell at me cuz i happen to own the domain name it got posted on.
