I did see that they were doing some brush hogging, but that was earlier this summer. The guy that told me this also mentioned that they may stop installitation due to basket theft.

It would be surprising if they added another course there because, from what I have heard, the people that run Kennsington have never liked disc golfers or the course. There even has been various points in the past where rumors were being circled that the tunnel course was going to be pulled.
It would be very exiting to play a 2nd course at such an awesome park. Permanent toboggan anyone???

One idea the park bosses have been discussing is opening a new course and closing the old course so it can recover. They are also discussing charging a per round fee. I got this from a park police officer who was helping me out with a vehicle maintenance problem.

Tis true the new course should be a pay to play and may go in as early as next fall. I am working with park and have had a couple of meetings with them already.
Peace,

Fee has yet to be determined at Kensington. They will wait to see how Hudson Mills goes with charging a fee, which I believe starts this January.

i would have no problem paying the $50 or whatever it is if they were going to add a third course.

Pay to play has nothing to do with kensington in 2008, Jared. If you are talking about a 3rd course at hudson they don't have the room for a 3rd course. Depending on how the pay to play goes at hudson, the fees will probably be placed at all metroparks in 2009. I would suggest everybody think carefully about your comments.
Complaining about the pancake syrup has nothing to do with disc golf and attacking the parks or worse kim will do nothing to improve the efforts A3 is attempting to accomplish to reduce the annual fees. What we need is constructive thoughts and not attacks on unrelated items.
For those of you who can afford or who support pay to play disc golf think of the people who can't afford these fees, whether due to lower income, larger families or financial distress.
For those of you who support pay to play great, but some of us can't afford these fees as proposed by Hudson. Pad and some 101 members are strongly in favor of pay to play and you are entitled to your opinion. Personally i think pay to play has a place but not at existing courses. All's this will do is stunt the growth of disc golf by preventing families from playing or trying a new sport. Where will 101 (you supported strongly a pay to play concept at the HCMA meetings last year) get more and new players if they can't learn about disc golf. where will the sport grow if the families can't enjoy an inexpensive or free experience?
Personally i don't think $2 per day is a bad fee but $50 for an annual if way to much. The new player or families not being able to try the sport will crush the growth of the sport for years to come. Personally i (not the board of A3) think charge tournaments the fees not the players, of course these fees will probably be passed onto the players but at least the families and beginners won't be crushed by to expensive fees.
Oh and take your comments to the Pay to play post so Hudson doesn't have to look in multiple places for your comments.
Kim is watching that posting thread for feedback and attacking her will not help. Kim has always cared and supported disc golf and attacking her or the park here about non disc golf related subjects does not help in the current situation!
Please help A3 help you and the disc golfers who can't afford these fees!
