We had 10 competitors and charged no entry fee. Thanks to donations from Bag Rag, Discraft, a3disc, and others, each participant got a disc and a bag rag towel as a players package. Each entrant also got to choose another disc as their "payout" + we had 6 CTP discs.

I figure the value of the total "payout" in retail at more than $400 for 10 players, and since there was no entry fee, this means the value was immeasurable.

We played 9 from the Blues (long), then 9 from the whites (middle then 9 from the shorts (red). No one got an ace, but I won the CTP for the $40 ace pool afterwards.

Michael Frame took first place with a total score of 78, I took second with 79, and Ben Calhoun took third with 81.

I'll be playing with the hole by hole scoring to look at the variations, and the first thing I have found is that, at least with our caliber of players, both Hole 1 and Hole 6 from the Blue are legitimate Par 4 holes. (Hole 6 qualifies as the toughest hole overall, looking at scores from all three tees.) Here's the scoring distribution from the first round:

Hole 1 (blue)
no aces
no 2s
1 3
5 4s
2 5s
2 6s

Hole 6 (blue)
no aces
no 2s
two 3s
three 4s
four 5s
two 6s

I would guess it is in or near Ypsilanti MI. I would also guess it is almost invite only or for kids or Terry has found some suckers for sponsers.

The Ypsi Heritage Festival wanted a tournament, so we cobbled something together last minute, but kept it small and didn't publicized it widely so as not to cause any issues with Femillz. (Although it was in heritage festival literature and the newspaper; had it not been, we might not have had it this year at all.) Next year we'll make it a bigger thing, or someone will, I am hoping the locals can take it over.
