can am cup

So what's going on with the can-am cup teams?? Are we going by rating again this year? It seems that we could put together two really good teams again. The next ratings update is not until after the canam cup. So it would be possible to have this team together??

Rosters for three Can Am Cup teams is one of the items on the agenda for a Pittsburgh Flying Disc Society club meeting scheduled for 1:30 pm at Fairground Market after the morning round at Moraine Monthly Saturday, Aug. 11.

Current club members will have a chance for input on the process to select three (3) teams. I think player rating is one criteria that can be used to determine the rosters, but I am suggesting some other ways as well, including things like Can Am Cup veterans, match play record, overall tournament experience, age/gender, amatuer status.

Well count me in for sure on either team. I would hope that I could make it on to the A team??? I have had a pretty good record in the cup and I think this would be my 4th year of playing. Going all the way back to 98 or something like that? And I do believe I have finished in the top 3 every year of the old Pittsburgh Challenge Ladder since 2002!! With well over 450 matches between 2002 and 2006!

J Gary...that match we had against each other 2 years ago was one of the most fun rounds of golf I have ever played. All the way down to the last hole!!!

Either way, whatever team, whatever the lineup, you can count on me being there. We have some great talent that can definitely put up a strong fight to win the cup back.

Also.....this year we need to hit up the Ellicotville Brewery in Fredonia one of the nights up there. Perhaps we will have to get up there early Thursday and make a day out of it......hit the lake???
