Fall Disc Golf Classic... All 4 rounds at Richlands?

All right. Here is the deal. I want to make the Fall Disc Golf Classic all 4 rounds at Richlands. Here is your chance to talk me out of it. Good Luck. Vote and tell me what you think.

OK Scott, since it's now on the table I'll share my opinions. I voted for all 4 rounds at Richlands, not so much because I love Richlands but in hopes that the '08 CPWO might be all 4 rounds at Jacksonville. I know that you really want to fill an event and I think 2 days at NE Creek would do it.

I also like the idea of 2 days at Richlands because it gives you an extra day to "adjust" to that kind of course. The OB at Richlands has made for some frustrating times for players but I think it was a necessary evil for tournaments. I appreciate Richlands now and show it respect that it never had before.

Either set-up you choose I will play because your events are always smooth and enjoyable.

My thoughts....

I will play ANY event at ANY course you run and while I personally do not enjoy Richlands as much as some other people, but I do like the idea of having one tournament 4 rounds at one course and the other tournament 4 rounds at the other.

I would say Jacksonville is the premier course of the two and Fall Disc Golf Is the premier event you guys run. Make the fall tournament at Jax and the Feb tournament at Richlands. Also, the worst wind tournaments at Richlands have usually been the winter tournaments, so this adds to this.

Either way, I just hope that you will either do as I suggest or keep it the same. I love playing Jacksonville and I hate I only get 4 rounds on it a year, I would be upset if that number were to be even lower.

It's just a fun fun course with lots of good holes.

No longer is this a concern of mine. I used to think and feel it was important to fill. But due to the disrespect I recieved from an individual at the last tournament I ran. My goal isn't to fill events. My goal is to run a smooth, enjoyable event for the disc golfers who want to be there.

Shouldn't this be the goal of all TD's? And I will say this, if that is your goal Scott, then you have always far exceeded it in my opinion.

Indeed. But what I am saying is that I used to wonder why we didn't fill our events. I thought to myself "What are we doing wrong?" I then realized (the minute I got disrespected) that I shouldn't worry about the people who aren't there. We pour our hearts into every event that we run. Thats all we can do.

Good point, if we do 2 days at Richlands I would much rather have it in November than February, let's not make it torture and have the cold to deal with as well, that keeps more people away than the wind.

the idea of the shot is really cool, but there is no clear way to the pin up in the air. I would say most ppl agree with my thoughts about this hole.

This in no way helps me at all. I suck at Richlands and I suck in the wind. However, its what makes the course and the chances of it being windy are better in Feb.

Personally, I would much rather play this course in complete calm b/c I hate wind, but I know I am the minorty in this opinion. I am voicing my opinion for what I think everyone would want, not just me.

Richlands i don't really have an opinion on either way. Knapp's if you run an event i will be there so no matter what you do i am in :cool:

This year but the NECP will be a traveling event and also unlike some i do not plan on playing AM for life. i would like to play a 4 round event every year in J-ville. and of course i will be bidding to be in the final 9 at the NECP.

The 07 Fall Disc Golf Classic is going to be 2 rounds in Jacksonville and 2 rounds in Richlands. The Coastal Plains Winter Open in Feb of 08 is going to be 4 rounds at Richlands. :D
