Plamann Park (the only disc golf event at this gorgeous park this year)
Appleton, WI
The only tourney in the state that weekend with a CASH PAYOUT for pros (first place last year took home $225). Lots of prizes for all divisions: (male and female: beginner, youth, advanced, open). A generous player’s package, free lunch, and a jumbo putt to finish the day.
10 a.m. — bring new golfers to the free clinic where a dozen local pros teach disc golf skills and etiquette; or volunteer to teach
Noon — free lunch for all registered golfers
1 p.m. — competition: one 18-hole round on a challenging, temporary course you’ll never get to play again. A separate 9-hole course for beginners. Total field is limited to 150 golfers. Guarantee your place by pre-registering at the website below
3:30 p.m. — Jumbo Putt for everyone
4 p.m. — Awards
Cost: $30 (or get pledges, and it won’t cost you a penny. Pledge sheets available online at www.fvssn.org (http://www.fvssn.org/) The Fox Valley Sibling Support Network is dedicated to the interests of brothers and sisters of people with special needs and long-term illnesses. And, they know how to treat disc golfers right!
We’re in pretty good shape for baskets but could use one or two more. If you’re coming and can bring a basket, let me know. Much appreciated.
