New Norman Course?

There is a 148 acre land plot that was bought by the city that used to belong to Ruby Grant out on the west side near I-35. There was a hundred plus people there giving out ideas on what to do with the land. Disc Golf had about 7 or 8 that showed up for the support, and other then us the other most popular idea talked about was a jogging trail for cross country and making it a Div1 type area that OU and highschools could use. There will be a survey going out in the mail that will ask the same question,and they also said an online survey will be done as well. When that comes out we will post the site on here so that you can vote.

When the time comes for this we need to all rally up tons of support to make sure we get usage of the land

Absolutely! It would be fantastic to have another course in Norman ... and on the west side at that (where I live). I'll be sure to tell everyone I know about it and get their support, even my non-disc golf friends. :cool:

I heard that a survey will be going out in the June water bill. Not sure if everyone or some will be getting this survey. Please tell all friends or co-workers if they get this to put down a disc golf course. I did hear rumors that some did not want a course cause it was the wrong type of corowd, but then heard that courses lower violent crime in the area. As soon as a site is up we will post the survey to be voted on, but tell anyone you can to put a course on the hand ballot that will be going out.
