As posted on PDGA announcements....

The Board of Directors recently approved the following locations for the US Women's Disc Golf Championships.

2008: Huntsville, AL
2009: Quad Cities, IA
2010: Jacksonville, NC

Congratulations to the host clubs and thank you for both your professional bids and enthusiasm.

Thanks Robert! The club members are extremely excited and enthusiastic to host this event. And we will do everything in our power to make it the best USWDGC to date.

That was actually one of our slides in the presentation. No NC love. :)

But NC got love now. Eastern NC as a matter of fact. Maybe we will get more NC points events now :eek:

I know it's REALLY early but what kind of course setup/order are you thinking for the big event? Maybe this will prompt Onslow Parks to install more courses which will be great for us PCP'ers too.

Friday at Northeast Creek (Hopefully we will have a different layout by then, but we will at least be using the temp 9 like at CPWO)
Saturday will be at a temp course (The County Parks said we can use any of there parks to set up a temp course of our liking.)
Sunday at Steed in Richlands (should be spectator friendly course for the finals)

I have spoke with someone at the Jacksonville/Onslow Sports Commision who seems to think that this event will bring another perminant course to Onslow County. We hope that being awarded this event gives us leverage to get a new perm course. If we do get a new course, then a temp course wont be used for the event.
